I expect others would be The Brandy & Bugle (Monty) The Smug and Croissant (Vipros) and The Rapists Arms (Chompy).

I drank too much and stayed up too late last night - no surprises there - but tea and weetabix have sorted me out for now.
I fear I may run out of steam by lunchtime, though. How are you doing this fine day?
altQ: If you had to choose between giving up your favourite vice or seeing a family member in front of a firing squad, which family member would you choose?

There is a little, tiny opportunity for Mark and I to work in Spain... so little and tiny that quite possibly, it won't happen. However, I'm so excited I've started checking salaries and other stuff.
On the other hand, I feel a bit mean today. My ex-boyfriend departed with the promise of keeping the friendship. I tried to do it, but usually he doesn't reply to my emails. I just learnt that he's getting married, which makes me feel happy for him, but sad among other things because he didn't tell me directly. I just learnt today as well that he's working for a crappy company, and that made me a bit happy, as her mother used to say that I wasn't good enough for him. Am I bad?
Soo, things that you didn't expect to happen, good or bad; and do you feel guilty about them?

We've been wanting to bar some weird bloke from my place of work for a while. He'd not done anything officially 'wrong', but he'd been generally rude, creepy, smelly, pervy and inappropriate.
Today it transpired that he is this man:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_Diggle
This has steeled me to tell the OTHER creepy customer who's been buying me chocolate bars and asking me how much I pay at the hairdressers to FUCK OFF.
What close calls with weirdos have you had?

Oh really, sounds good.
I'm having a roast pork sandwich. It's awesome.
I roasted the pork last night, the whole joint cost me about £4, who says waitrose is expensive.

does the UK still take political refugees and do any of you have room in your basement (or attic) for me and my family?
Alternatively, what drugs will best help me to bend over and take it with a smile from our more right wing than ever government?
none of you are doing my mother 'cause she'd kick your ass if you tried

When it's raining, and I'm walking on the street, if I see a floor tile that looks loose, I MUST step on it, which usually results in me covered on dirty water. I try to stop myself. I even think before I do it "Don't do it, you'll be upset afterwards" but I can't stop my feet...
Which stupid things you do, knowing that it'll make you upset with yourself for doing them?
PS: Nobody here is doing my mum, I know that for a fact.

I'm feeling worryingly smug today. I'm halfway through my exams, I have one more tomorrow and then one next Thursday. I have not had any problems with them so far, and am feeling pretty confident I'll get a decent mark for them.
I also got a haircut so I look nice for you lot when I come visit in 12 days time (fuck where did the time go??).
So! What's on for your days then? Anybody doing anything more fun then studying?
Alt: Why did we get /ot-raped by /talk anyway?
edit - that was a rubbish question. Stuff it. Which movies should I stick on my iPod for the trip, and why?

I'm about to rewrite my old dating site profile (eugh). In it you have to describe oneself in the following format:
I am _______, ________ and _______
Try it, you might like it.

So my pinched nerve is now actually starting to hurt, rather than just leave me with pins and needles AND I saw Brian Blessed in Uxbridge.
How awesome has your day been?
Edit: Oh, and I'm going to Ikea later. In WEMBLEY, no less. Beat that, suckers.

Am I right to think that the usage of this site is lower than it used to be? I haven’t seen any site stat’s but it seems to me that with the exception of OT (which seems about the same), /talk seems to have much less going on than it used to and QOTW doesn’t get as many answers as it used to or from as many people. IMO the quality of QOTW posts seems to be lower than it used to be.
Alt: Which website do you use the most (except B3ta)?
