Anyway, I'm cooking a curry tomorrow. Or more accuratly a number of Curries to impress people.
So far I have these planned:
A whole chicken, spatchcocked and tandorified in the oven
Dry meat
A chickpea sort of thing
Bombay potatos
Homemade onion Bahjis
Beef rendang
What else should I cook? I'm expecting about 8-10 people.

What's the best gig you've ever been to, where was it, and what is your opinion on the quality of the seats that you got?

I am going to see the local panto week after next for FREE.
I wouldn't normally bother but it means I get to see my friend who has moved to Manchester, it is free, and the booze is free.
It 'stars' Pamela Anderson and Les Dennis.
What would you like to say to either of those two people that I should say if I get the chance?
Alt. Where are my snow spikes?

Any last-minute advice before I face the Ginger Hellspawn herself tomorrow? Or insults you might want to throw at me in preparation? I know how you all love to help me prepare.
Alt Q - what's been going on lately, I haven't been around much on account of having better things to do

I have sore feet but feel great. I took lots of pictures and had snow fall all over me and I have had the time of my life walking with my arms out to catch the flakes. I had fun. Completely missed the student protests too. It was ace.
So how are we all after our long days? had a good one or a bad one?

So it is Karaoke night down at the Offtopic Arms
You're all there and have to perform a song. No hiding in the toilets allowed.
I'll start by mumbling my way through Lou Reed's Pale Blue Eyes (always go for something by someone who isn't a great singer themselves)
and then I'll hand the microphone to.....

A friend and I are in discussions on where to go on holiday next year. He's the kind of person who loves odd adventure holidays, and one suggestion was spending 10 days on the Amazon helping a conservation society count the wildlife and measure frogs...
I'm trying to steer him more towards Japan, telling him we can climb Mt. Fuji and beat up ninja. I think he's up for that.
Where would you love to go on holiday?

Well, well, well... in 3.5h I'll be leaving this office for the last time. Yesterday was my last night at my flat as my home (I'm sure I'll sleep there again, but then I'll just be a guest)
I moved to Manchester 6 years ago, and although I'm excited I'm moving, I know I'm going to miss a lot of people and things from this city. I'll be back from the 17th to the 19th of December to finish packing and moving, but that's it, no more.
The next 5 days are going to be crazy. I don't think I'll be able to come round here very often. I'm going to miss you all so much!
And well, I don't even have a question to ask. Maybe, did you ever have to leave something you liked behind for something better? What do you miss? I don't know, who would you want to live near you again?
Big kisses to everybody, and I'll come back as soon as I can!

I am very excited about:
1) the cinema release of 'Lemmy: The Movie' (anyone wanting to come with me to a London screening let me know)
2) seeing Roky Erickson in December - something I never thought I'd see
3) witnessing my child opening her castle at Christmas
What do you have in the pipeline that is stopping you from Moatying out?

Some days I hate people on facebook.
My friend steve is going through all my photos from my trip, and "like"-ing every single one of them. there's 153 photos in that album. *facepalm*
I'm going to kill him when I get home.

I've been here four years and in that time I have experienced anger, joy, sorrow and a couple of nasty cases of trapped wind.
What are your favorite memories of my time on here?

Work is not an acceptable answer. I travelled down south to visit a mate yesterday and we're having a bit of a Withnail thing. We can't remember getting home last night, been up for an hour and drunk a bottle of vodka and one of wine.

I had to drag the stepson out to come get me (I was at the pub) and then drive me to the nearest battery-selling place, then I stood there like a mong in the fucking freezing cold while he fitted it for me.
Is there somewhere they teach boys how to do that? I'm sure they must have done it at school when we were being told how to have periods properly.
Alt q: what can't you do that you really really should be able to do?

I've gone through my finances and stuff this weekend, and I can't work out how I spend so much every day.
This month I'm going to take out a cirtain amount every day, and that has to pay for any day-to-day stuff. It's quite a bit of money, I think, I'm sure it's more than what I usually spend, but I must spend more to be barrasic at the end of the month.
Anyway, LUNCH TIME, dry rice curry with chicken yakatori

Only 9.5degC inside the office. I'm still wearing my coat and scarf, and considering to put my gloves on again, as my fingers can't feel anything anymore.
I'm tired, moody, stressed and really, really cold.
How are you today? Did you have a good weekend?
EDIT: And it seems nobody is here, so I'm quite bored too.
NEWS UPDATE: 11degC now.

Went to boot up my work laptop to find that it won't accept my username and password. Says to check domain but the usual dropdown that lets you select the domain, or tell it to boot on its own isn't there, even when you click the options button.
Not back in my office until Thursday, don't need the computer at work for the next few days, but it will leave me without one when I'm stuck away from home for the next few nights.
Anyone got any suggestions about how I can get access to it?
