Lazy gits.
I've been up since 6.10am - I know, five hours fucking sleep on a Saturday. Today I get to help my friends unpack the entire contents of their old house into their new one, under the guise of playing Hotwheels with their two-year old lad for five hours. I think we all know who wins here.

What does Saturday hold for you, other than a distant and untraceable feeling of regret?

Now, I don't use Twiter much, apart from to publicise my night amongst the suprirsingly techno-savvy denizens of Norwich
but I've just read a superb Tweet from David Schnieder. "The only way Gaddafi's going to get away with this is if he gets judged by the FA".

What the fuck happened to OT whilst I was at lunch?
Honestly, I pop out for an hour and you lot let the attention-seeking massive take over. Anyway, I'm confident you'll like this.

Having twenty minutes spare before I needed to be back at work, I popped into the Steam Packet for a pint for the simple reason that it's 30 seconds' walk from my office door. I read my copy of FHM (hey, it's funny) and drank Amstel. Bliss.

I mentioned this pasttime to my workmate upon my return to the office. He sniggered and told me to check out www.norwichgaypubs.com. It turns out I was sat in a gay bar, looking like the slightly camp and frequently-accused-of-bumdering fellow I am, reading F-H-fucking-M. On my own. I may as well have had "doth protest too much" tattooed on my forehead.

What gaps in your knowledge have led to embarrassment of late?

Alt: Star Wars or Star Trek?

What developments have been taken to improve QOTW since I was last here?

I've brought a notepad. Put down your third lunch and bring me good news. I've no time for continued failings and fat kids at the QOTW end of the b3ta playground.

Good news/bad news.
The good news is I'm off tomorrow to play with my friends and I bought a lovely blouse today. Linky for the ladies.

Bad news is I had a blood test and there's nothing wrong with me.
(, Thu 3 Mar 2011, 13:20, 123 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Well that question is boring
So here's another one.

We sold a car 2 months ago and just got an angry text saying various things are wrong with it. It was sold as seen and when we sold it we didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

Should we ignore it or tell them to cunting well fuck off? The wife is scared she will come over to the house and fuck her shit right up innit blood.

no alt because this thread is equally dull and will be replaced by a lunch thread soon.

*edit* just saw thread below, no I'm not deleting and I'm not sorry.

A Question for HTML Coding Nerds + alt nerd question
Let's say we have a paragraph like this:

"You can help us in the following ways:
1. Help this way
2. Help that way
3. Help the other way"

Would you:
1. Place the list (<ol> tag) within the paragraph (<p> tag) as it is clearly part of the paragraph
2. Separate the list from the paragraph

I've coded for years but never been sure of the semantics here.

Alt Question: What subject/hobby are you nerdy about that would even make other nerds think "what a f*cking nerd!"?
(, Thu 3 Mar 2011, 11:09, 22 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Oh look it's a news link.
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/8357934/Libya-rebels-in-desperate-battle-to-hold-ground.html

This is one of the best articles I've read for years, truely great combat journalism. Which shows the madness that is going on in Libya at the moment.

If you look at the "most read today" part of the website it's beaten by two articles about the iPad 2 ffs.

loose lips cost lives
i have to admit that i love a bit of juicy gossip. whether it's at work, socially or even on here, i like to know who is shagging whom and everything in between. but i do know when not to repeat it!

so: what's the best bit of gossip you've ever heard? and do you keep it to yourself, tell "just one person", or would it be quicker to publish it in "the sun"?

Do you want to see the funniest thing you'll ever see in your life?
You may not have YouTube access at work but I urge you to make time for this at home if this is the case. Proper gyppoes doing everything in their power to confirm every stereotype imaginable:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=owvK24p9GHQ

This is why things like 'Horse Outside' are not that funny - the real thing is much better. I laughed until I wept and my stomach ached last night. Watch some of his other stuff too, it's all brilliant and he is blatantly pissed out of his mind in every single video. Utter genius.
(, Thu 3 Mar 2011, 10:17, 13 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I may actually get a full night's sleep tonight.
I asked one of the girls on my floor to ask the others to keep it down when they get back from the clubs tonight and she said she'd pass it along. I hope it works. If it does, I'll be reaaaaaaaaally happy.

What're you hoping goes your way today folks?
and if you can't be bothered answering that - did you know you can get television through your laptop? I didn't. :(
