1) hue/sat: match the saturation of the two images
2) color balance: match the mids, then shadows, then highlights. If you don’t feel confident judging it by eye, use the histograms as a guide
3) levels: match the brightness and contrast using levels
2) and 3) can be swapped around if that’s better for you
Once you’re done, touch up with the hue slider in hue/sat if necessary, and with the brightness/contrast slider.

Once you’re done, touch up with the hue slider in hue/sat if necessary, and with the brightness/contrast slider.
Use that to get the colour you want, then use the 'Fill with colour' tool to fill your target with the desired colour.

Blending options on the text layer would have made it more stereotypical. But then the conformity to a template of a "joke" is why these things became unfunny after exactly 1 iteration.
More to the point, I've mentioned "stroke" and "hard bit" now yet no-one has jumped on it.
