Making all sorts of "art" and getting grants from the local council etc and I remember one day asking a council worker where all the "art" went to as I never saw any of it after the various shows it appeared at. It was mentioned that it had all been sold to various private collectors however he simply said "landfill" Every single bit of it, not one bit was ever sold , they couldn't even give it away nor take it to the scrappy as somebody would see it so under the cover of darkness these "special" works that cost the council thousands ended up buried in landfill sites. a fitting end if you ask me, pity they didn't some of those fecking hippies with it.

even if some of it is really shit. I like looking at the bad stuff and working out how it could have been done better. It's only really the decorative meh art I struggle to find anything in.
(Genuinely love the artists in the video, though)

Most people hate that as they never thought of it. I did try it myself with an apple gaffa taped to a fence post but was told to fuck off by the owner. On hindsight, I should have used my own fence. But yeah, Hunkin FTW

what a lot of miserable people. Art is subjective so you can't expect to like all of it. Politicians hate art because it often exposes what's wrong with society and criticises their greed and so it becomes ever more under funded - which must please the most miserable and joyless people. Councils had more money to spend on art and playgrounds and recs and filling holes in the road back when this film was made as it our taxes were still paying local councils not all being funnelled to central government for their dodgy deals. I wish this ride of life had been made, it would've become much loved in Sheffield I'm sure.

Behold, DivaTron 9000: the ultimate golden diva-bot. Imagine if C-3PO got drunk on champagne and decided to embrace his inner drag queen. This shiny femme-bot is strutting her stuff in a turntable animation packed with sass, fan flicks, and more curves than an asteroid belt.
This is entirely my fault—I animated her. Watch her pose, preen, and judge you silently (or maybe not so silently). It’s short, shiny, and you might find yourself strangely into it. Don't worry, no one has to know

Posted a version yesterday, got a suggestion to make it easier to hear, fixed it, here it is again.
This is another in my occasional series of "stupid stuff that got stuck in my head and now I have to make a video to get it out".
This particular thing got stuck in my head 45 years ago when a kid at my school was holding a whoopee cushion and singing "New York London Munich Paris Everybody Talk About" (FART) "Rolf Harris".
Obviously don't want people talking about the Aussie nonce since he got cancelled, so Mr Jolly Lives Next Door provided the necessary alternative words.

She had appendicitis or something like that, couldn’t afford an ambulance and had to make her own way to a specific hospital miles away so her insurance would cover it, only to find out after the surgery that the bloody surgeon wasn’t “in network”.
And I learned today from Dr Glaucomflecken (not his real name) that one of the insurance companies is actually trying to limit how much anaesthetic they’re prepared to pay for during operations. As if they know how long operations take better than surgeons do.

Sure he was CEO of a medical insurance company that from a brief Google appears pretty cunty but I'm sure he was just about to turn it around that very morning in a new direction. If only he hadn't been killed UnitedHealth group would stop lobbying against the affordable care act, backdating stock options for bosses, defrauding consumers by manipulating reasonable and customary rates, defrauding the United States of hundreds of millions — and likely billions — of dollars etc etc
I'd be interested in the killer's motivation; insurers didn't pay for his deceased wife's treatment, CEO banging his wife, scuffed his wife's car? Oh no...I'm back to the fictional dreamt up scenarios again.
WAKE UP DYLLON!!!

Between about 2018 and 2020 I used to make videos of crap festive jokes during advent and put them on Twitter. In 2021 I edited together 25 of the best ("the best") but then couldn't work out how to do good subtitles so got in a huff and abandoned it. Despite still being in a huff, I've finally got round to learning how subtitling works, and done it in a very time-consuming way, while the technology has moved on. Never mind: enjoy what Barking used to look like relatively recently, reminisce about the Beast from the East, and marvel at how bad I must look now that I watch this and think, "Crikey, I look so young and healthy there"
