Yes, that is really cool. Wondered what the fuss was about first time round. Then I saw what they were getting at and forwarded it to all my friends in the world. That guy i know.

While i pretty much doubt it's aliens, it sure is an unidentified flying object? ? ? ? ? any astronomers out there?

A: comet
B: missile
C: something secret
D: alien craft
E: all of above

Possibly a drought relief thingy (i know there are duster planes to seed clouds so that they rain, it's possible this is something similar to actually make clouds), or just anything spraying water out the back
( , Tue 20 Jul 2010, 22:35, Reply)

My vote is for a meteorite burning up on entry, and the cloud is just dust.
( , Wed 21 Jul 2010, 8:39, Reply)

they closed the airspace!
Looks like an object causing very high level atmospheric disturbance that the low sun is picking out, but other than that, fuck knows.
Hence, yes, it is a U.F.O. but in the old fashioned sense, not the new one that means aliens.
( , Tue 20 Jul 2010, 22:39, Reply)

Looks like it's staging at 30 seconds in.
Of course, given an approximate time, location and direction it'd be pretty easy to determine what it was, but this info rarely accompanies such videos...

I keep finding shopping lists and thought it was about time I did something with them. So I made a place to keep them.
There are some interesting people out there, none more so than the idiot hunting around trollies for old lists.

The photo date may be 2001, but it was taken on a Canon 1Ds Mark III, which wasn't released in 2001, but in 2007! So I feel that the photo could have been taken at the command centre, but probably wasn't "busy" enough.

Hello I haven't been on b3ta for aaages.
I'm starting an online collaborative art project and need your help and you don’t need to have any artistic talent to get involved. Basically, everybody who wants to take part gets 20 x 20 pixels worth of space on the image. Each person is spaced apart by 20 pixels to form a grid and I will fill in the black spaces in between to link your images together.
You can make a drawing, a pattern, a flag, a symbol, your logo, add a photo – anything you like, in any colours. But please bear in mind that I won’t add anything that is too offensive, illegal or will get me in trouble.
I have this handy blank square that you can use as a template

Either post your images here or follow the email on the website.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME MESSAGE ENDS

maybe one day I'll go mad and try to animate it all though
( , Tue 20 Jul 2010, 21:27, Reply)

Should be awsome, what's the time-span ?
Also, could you use a less offensive statcounter than... er... statcounter ? - You'll find that a whole heap of enterprise AV block this...
( , Tue 20 Jul 2010, 21:30, Reply)

Also no real time scale at the moment, gonna see how big we can get it.
( , Tue 20 Jul 2010, 21:35, Reply)

Just keep yer stats on your server, rather than dish them out to third party scripts. Depends on what stats you want, but AW stats is a good starting point imho...
I've never heard of Mailbox net before, so I don't know what server / hosting or anything they offer ... :(

It's cool - I like it. All the advice below plus my 0.0002c. The tracking is slightly off on the eye, particularly at the beginning (the skin stretches also).
You could disguise it somewhat if you added a bit of artificial camera shake to the whole shot (zoom in slightly to lose the edges) and a tiny bit of noise.
But try and fix the track as much as possible if you can because that's what will help sell-it.
( , Tue 20 Jul 2010, 22:35, Reply)

but the palm opening part is DEFO FAKE. The rest is cool for me.
Edit: you wouldn't get a cat's eye doing that.
OK i'll bugger off now.

This production by the Colonial Film Unit tells those finding themselves foreign, how to use London's bus service. Note to writers of American television programmes: this is exactly what life is still like in Britain, and you are quite correct to groundlessly assume that everyone still speaks in either a plummy BBC accent, or is a cockney urchin. And yes, the terms 'Britain', 'England' and 'London' all refer to exactly the same place.
