A beautiful short film about a post-apocalyptic hell-hole, the Salton Sea.

Its just like Fallout 3 in real life.
Fantastic find, I'd love to go there. Maybe take a Gatling Laser along, just in case.

This has been about for a few weeks now, but - reminded by Vandok's link on the Main board this morning to some of his 360° jobbies - I thought this deserves sharing. A quick search didn't find it on Links yet, so...
You control what you watch in the video... although I do recommend the cute girly trying on all the clothes as a good default resting place. :-)

I looked away from the cute girl and she turned into a ninja.... didnt happen when I rewound. Presumably there's some other stuff in there

Blog documenting a bit of test work for an upcoming animation short. This is by a group University of Dundee animation students in their final year and is a mix 3D and hand-drawn animation in a Disney-esque style. It's looking pretty ace based on the screen caps and line tests anyway so thought I'd share!

You're right, there is no link whatsoever between the 1960s kids game 'Rock Em Sock Em', involving fighting robots in a ring and Real Steel, a film about fighting robots in a ring. Not sure what I was thinking.

*checks back*
Nope.
My comment was meant as surprise that adding a few seconds of footage to an existing trailer could be "a pain in the arse".
If you'd travelled two hundred miles to retrieve your 'Raving Bonkers' toy from the attic at your Mum and Dad's - just to make those five seconds - then I could understand it.
You didn't, did you?
You probably did.
Ah, well.
(, Sun 15 May 2011, 14:49, Reply)
My mistake, I assumed the use of the words 'raving bonkers' suggested a misunderstanding between the link. And no, I haven't ever owned a Rock Em Sock Em, little bit before my time.

their defence mechanism is to fall asleep. They are hardly capable of injuring anyone lol

Plus, when they hang from trees they don't even bother to move when they take a pee, this results in them peeing all over themselves, which makes them bloody stink. You have to love an animal that's so lazy, they grow moss on their fur.
(, Sun 15 May 2011, 13:53, Reply)
apparently their main 'defense' is they never clean and therefore are vile to pretty much all senses.
Lovely...

'Ladies and gentlmen we are floating in space' is one of my top albums.
Remember the cd case for that?...a friend of mine bought 2 copies so one will always be brand new =)
Cool waves would have been a good one from the same album to help drift your son away to sleep..... bit happier too.....Electricity certainly wouldnt't work haha

I wish I'd bought two copies as well and left one unopened, I reckon it'd be worth something now.
Met someone at a party that had the vinyl version, v.cool.

Loads of 5-10 sec clips, put to 'Invincible' by Muse. The song now always brings me to the verge of tears...
I tried uploading it to youtube, but their copyright scanners detected that I was not Matt Bellamy and wouldn't let me, so I used 'Sleep The Clock Around' by Belle and Sebastian instead.
[Congrats btw].

guy in white...why did he hit the ethnic looking fella for the tackle?
was it a bad tackle and he got a offended?
cos the guy in white looked like he was in the wrong?
i dont understand sports :(
(, Sun 15 May 2011, 10:49, Reply)
He go pissed off and shoved the guy in black, who then stood up and landed a punch that would have taken the head off most people
Guy in white shouldn't have shoved but it seems to be accepted in rugby...
(, Sun 15 May 2011, 10:56, Reply)
The first was the cause of the original penalty, the second was an off-the ball tackle (which I believe should have been a penalty too). Ashton gives him a shove in the back to remonstrate and gets a series of punches in reply.
Still, fair play to him, that punch would have taken down a horse.

his wrist bent and it landed a little too high, also the geezer in white was rolling away from it somewhat.
sometimes punches that land high on the head are bad but more often then not they're less severe than ones that land on the chin. in terms of dropping people at least.

German guy makes his own slingshots, from simple ones right up to this 6-shot cannon and an 8-shot gatling catapult. There's even the Machete launching slingshot and the self-defense catapult with 2 built in flick knives and a bottle of Tear Gas!
Check em out.

Klaus designed the cover for The Beatles' Revolver, but his other work is just as great. Incidentally, have a look at the Tomorrow Never Knows piece. Apparently there was going to be a booklet in Revolver with his drawings representing each song.

But they never seem to quite get over the line for me. Gold was an interesting tune, but the arrangements never seem to quite gel with her voice. I'd almost rather hear her record an album of folk tunes, but she needs to steer clear of Dido territory.
Yeah... So despite sounding like I don't like them, I still do, sort of.

If people don't like the puritanical direction that church has taken, they're free to worship somewhere else.
Personally, I don't like the way religion is polarizing. The middle ground is religion is hollowing out.
