I heard of a wonderful "Outreach" program for paranoid schizophrenics trialled a while back
Where instead of keeping them locked up, they would be sent home to recuperate in their own, safe surroundings. Small teams of people would be employed to keep an eye on them from a safe distance whenever they go out, just to see how they reacted to the real world and find out if they really did think they were being followed.

Very sad to hear about Tony Scott, especially as Ridley has lost 2 brothers now. Tony Scott seemed to come from that same age of excess as Don Simpson - and obviously they worked together on a few films. Really liked Tony's films, great tension and visually inventive.

or once did... and my old man used to shoot a load of stuff at shepperton, and ridley was in the advertising game back then (same as my dad) he got to know them, and tony found out my dad is terrified of speed... so he took him in the ferrari...
my dad got out with a childish look of excitement, and thankfulness at being alive...

Help: Computer Geeks Required!
I have narcolepsy. It's a rare and rubbish illness that can be very debilitating.
At a recent conference I heard about Connor (12) who was recently diagnosed and is raising funds towards for it. He had the idea himself of building a computer with donated parts, and then giving the built computer away in a raffle to those who have donated.
As I know a lot of B3tan's to be a bunch of computer geeks, I thought they might like to donate pc stuff and/or money to help him achieve his money and computer target by the end of September.
It's a very good cause. Please click and donate!

I think he means
that you can tell whether or not it's rape according to the legal definition by whether or not there's a pregnancy. If there's a pregnancy, then it can't have satisfied the legal criteria for rape.
In other words, it means that he can say that abortions should be available in cases of rape should any pregnancy occur - but, of course, none will. So there's no need to provide abortion.

I've just been looking for a CD version of "Junior Choice" for my niece's Christmas.
She's just turned 2, and so it's about time I introduced her. Sadly, there appears to be no such thing. It's vinyl or nowt.
