When I was younger I used to have curly, and if I may say so now, beautiful hair. I hated it and wanted nothing more to have straight hair. Now I've chemically raped my hair so much it's gone pretty much straight, and it's shit.
What did you really want; only to get it and hate it?
Alt: What item would make your life about 20 times better than it is now? Real or imaginary. I don't care.
EDIT: Oh my god you're all so money-driven. Let's make this more interesting. ASIDE from finacial gain, we all know that would improve all our sordid lives.

If you're a boy I'll call you 'Champ' and will genuinely say something nice about you.
If you're a girl, well, then it will be something sexual as, well, that's what you want talking to me, innit.

According to the radio- NASA has just annouced to the world that they are just about to release "interesting news" in the next few minutes. BBC journalists are standing by.
But what will the news be? NASA scientists seem to have a widely different view of what is interesting.
Have aliens been observed mooning the Hubble telescope?
Or have the engineers developed a new kind of non return valve?

that I don't want his thread to get 200 replies. So new one.
No, really, it's made me think that, when I came to England, as no one knew me, I could be exactly as I wanted, without having friends adding tags to you because of something you did once when you were a little one (you know, that day that you didn't lend your friend some money and you became the tight one, even when after that you've been lending money to everybody...)
So if you had the chance to start from the begining, in a new place, new people, new job... how would you like to show yourself? do you think it'd work or after a while it would be the same again?
EDIT: It seems I haven't explained myself properly. It's not about changing, you are who you are. It's about in which boxes you've been put by your friends or the people who knows you for a lont time, like all my family thinking that I'm super shy, but I know I'm not, but they would get in my way trying to help me, so when I moved to England I finally could show myself as I am.

Right so in BSG spinoff Caprica they manage to recreate someones's personality from the data they've left behind.
If you suddenly got amnesia do you think you'd be able to know what you were like as a person from all your posts on here, emails, texts, recorded phone calls etc? Or are you more than what you say?
Alt question: Do you think you'd like yourself if you didn't remember your personality at all?

I hate things like that, if I want to give to charity I'll give without some twat dressed up as a giant teddy-bear telling me to do so.

Get up at 5:30am and rush to the airport, too much traffic on the road, run to your gate.
Get to Manchester airport, T3, and run to the station to get the first train. The train is delayed. Wait for it fearing you're going to miss the second train.
Arrive to Manchester Piccadilly 3min too late to catch the train. The next train is 1h later. Wait 1h in Piccadilly... not much to do there.
Arrive to Runcorn East; the taxi is late. Wait in the cold wandering why everything's going wrong today.
Start work at 11am; and I need to do 10h today. I don't think I'll go to sleep before 11pm.
And finally, I'm having one of the worse cases of JeffAIDS ever.
On the bright side, we're having our tickets for free to go to Madrid on Thursday, and I'm looking forward to it.
Go on, be nice today. Who are you missing a lot and why? Do you think it's possible to recover the friendship or meet him/her more often?

At one point of the weekend I found myself drinking a beer in the car park of TK Maxx in Watford. Five hours later I was eating venison in what was once WS Gilbert's (of Gilbert & Sullivan fame) house, to the sound of the Indiana Jones theme tune being played on the pianola.
It occurred to me at the time that these were a couple of the more peculiar moments in a life filled with weird shit.
Ever found yourself thinking 'what the fuck am I doing here?'
Do tell.

Does anyone want to go to the park? My Dad got me 12 bottles of Smirny Ice for the christmas week, he said he won't buy me any more and that if I drink it all in one go, that that's up to me, but they'll be no more. But I know that work gave him a bottle of Gin and him and Mum don't drink it, so I can bring that too. I've got *counts change* £4.79, so that's 3 bottles of coke and a chips, should be enough. Can one of you lot bring fags though? I also took some fire-lighters and matches, so we can have a bit of a bonfire. OOOO, marshmillows, we should get some in case we get the munchies from drinking so much.

Over here, possibly the Crispy Inn's Beef, bacon and cheese pie, wrapped in a light but crispy pastry parcel. Back in Blighty, it would be No. 5 The Deli's steak pie in Crewkerne, which has no equal for the chunkinees of its beef, flavour of the gravy and beautiful half-way house between stodge and fluffiness that is the pastry.
Saying that, I can still slum it with a Fray Bentos Steak and Ale, which was the ray of sunshine on many a dreary Swiss evening when we could get them.

Why not do 2 year courses instead of 3? The fees would be cut by a third automatically. It would mean that students would have to work a bit harder of course, and maybe get up in the morning.
Anyway, I thought that the idea of higher education was deferred gratification? Work your tits off for a few years, be skint and then get a well paid job as a theatre studies lecturer or something equally useful.
And anyway, it might be a gross generalisation, but most students I've met never seem to be skint, many have cars, and spend a great deal on crap quality coke.
Rant over...

I stand here surveying my potential weekend. No parties, no fun, but a shit load of work, laundry and some already overdue hoovering. My brain is melting with the thought of it.
Someone please tell me you're predicting a duller weekend than mine!
