Right, so as some of you know, I was once a librarian. I left on the 3rd of October. Now on the 31st October I came in and the place was an absolute wreck. My ex colleagues told me they were critically short staffed and the managers don't seem to care. So I figured that now I am merely a taxpayer and customer, not an employee, I would fill out a comment card to complain. However, because my District Manager was a total superbitch who hated me, I used a pseudonym on the card because I was convinced she'd just ignore it otherwise.
Fast forward a week and I come in, and one of the managers (also a bitch) told me she knew I'd written it, and so put it in the bin.
Now am I right in thinking that this is really bad? I'm now a customer, and they just threw my perfectly valid comment in the bin? Regardless of who I am, all comment cards should be looked at surely?
So anyway, do you lot reckon I'm justified in filing a complaint against this manager?

Own up.
Who goes looking and why?
I know b3tans are an odd lot and sometimes I'll look at someone's profile to discover if they're entitled to speak bollocks because they've posted lots of things and seem like an all round good person.
And there are also some b3tans who are on my Friends list, I've met in real life and are Facebook friends too, yet I've never once glanced at their profile.
I've recently put a counter back onto my profile (I had one about 18 months ago and removed it for various reasons) and I'm astounded when I add bits onto my profile (like a pic of my cat shopped by Raindance) at how many visits it's received.
So who is looking?!
*EDIT* I've just thought....
This is the Internet.
It's open to the entire world.
Duh!
Ignore the above post.

Afternoon all,
Just wondered if any of you lovely lot (yes I'm in grovelling mode) are arty types who could make me a pretty picture?
I'm working on creating a website to sell my corsets on and I need a picture to have as a logo. I wanted something along the lines of a girl wearing a corset and other nu-goth type attire (possibly with cat ears, not sure yet) to go next to the Kitty O'Hara bit at the top of the page and on all the swing tags that get attached to the actual corsets.
Any donations gratefully received!!

Not sure if this has been covered, but some of you who are on my Facebook list will have seen that I eat a lot and mostly crap.
I have a secret as how to I'm keeping trim - it's high metabolism and stress.. Mostly stress - not the most ideal way to do it, but it works..
(Admittedly I'm a heart attack candidate which isn't right clever...)
So how do you do it - if you do? Or tell me your eating habits...

that the only reason I've stayed sane in this job (aside from b3ta) is the box of teabags on my desk. I love the smell of tea.
What's the best smell ever?
It's a really, really slow week.

I went to see the marvellous Bill Bailey last night. Part of his act was ripping the piss out of the Killers' "I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier" line.
He suggested "I've got ham, but I'm not a hamster", and said someone had then thought of the line "I've got mange, but I'm not a manger".
My offering is "I've got cock, but I'm not a cockerel".
What silly lyrics can you think of?

We all know that a large majority of staff work in McDonalds, because.. well they can't do much better.
Guy in the office just came back with a Maccy Dees breakfast and ordered a black coffee with it. So what did he get? A black coffee with a free tea bag in it! Woo hooo!
Anyone top that for a stupid McDonalds mistake?

Just d/l'd this - it's super fast but I still cant get the adobe flash player that lets me watch youtube so back to IE for that. I had the same problem with Firefox then it eventually went whacky (this term should indicate my level (depth) of techno-savvy) so I uninstalled it.
Any thoughts on Google chrome?
thanks

I'm looking at going to Barcelona with a couple of mates in the new year (end of Feb) and was wondering of anyone had some recommendations about hostels we could stay in and bars/areas to go to?

There is an argument going on in the office and it is depressing, and do you know what the argument is about?
It is about the fact that we have the radiators on at full blast, the air conditioning on, and the windows open.

f(x) = ½(x-3)2 + 8, range: (-5<x<10)
Sketch the graph with x & y intercepts and the coordinates of the turning point.
Easy enough I thought, but then it says:
Specify the domain and image set for f-1(x) and find its rule.
eh?

I'm living in the Deep South of the USA, and as such am surrounded by religious types. My mechanism for dealing with them is very much of the 'stick fingers in ears, say la la la, and pretend they aren't there' school, so imagine my surprise when two mormons (mormen?) accosted me at the bus stop yesterday.
Now, owing to my not feeling well at the time, I was clutching the bus stop to prevent me from having a sudden face-ground interaction, I couldn't escape, so I ended up chatting to these two missionaries for about half an hour.
In this time, they asked me why I am not religious (my answer: I'm a scientist, and cannot really believe in something I have no proof of), would I like to know more about mormonism (my answer: no), and would I like to join them for worship sometime (my answer: ha ha, you're joking, right?).
But the reason I am boring you with this is the single greatest question I have ever been asked by a religious twerp.
'So, in europe there is much less religion, why do you think that is? Is it because you're all smarter and more educated than we are?'
Bless her, the poor girl had no idea why I was struggling to keep a straight face.
Felt y'all would enjoy this wonderful attempt at converting a b3tan to a mormon.

... for not joining any groups or causes about Baby P on Facebook? I must be getting about 3 invites a day and I'm ignoring the lot.
Yes its very sad what happened there, and its very wrong. But I dont see what joining numerous Facebook groups isnt going to make any difference.

I turn to you, faithful, fluffy B3tans, for advice.
I'm going out to London for the day on Wednesday, armed with only a one day Travelcard.
What's the best places to go and visit, preferably free?
