Not seen moving with full rotation before, I think.
(Thank gawd there's a Mark Cohn original of that song, this version wouldn't have meade it a hit haha.)

Didn't Mark Cohn do "Walking in Memphis"?

Extraordinary. There must have been a dozen different potentially lethal and spectacular stunts in the space of two minutes, all done without the slightest dramatic build up or beating about the bush. Modern movies just can't just give you the money shots these days, they have to make you wait.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 23:51, Reply)

Very skilled though and to be fair, if I could do that, I'd be smug. Appologies if GC, SK or whatever the latest thing is.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 18:08, Reply)

Although I'd just bump around the walls like an unco-ordinated tubby fellow with a look of mild panic on my face.

But yes, I have been enjoying his podcast.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 23:34, Reply)

For me this is a fail, by about halfway through they just seem like they're floating around randomly having fun. Then I think about them in funny costumes and hate them for not wearing some.
( , Sun 12 Jun 2011, 3:45, Reply)

Just filmed these guys in my garden. Seems their sunbathing noises are the same as their sex noises.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 17:00, Reply)

always sounds like a child is being murdered when they start humping.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 17:02, Reply)

We're completely overrun with the little bastards. It's hard to find them cute, especially when you're woken by the noise they make.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 17:27, Reply)

out of the Shard not so long ago. By which I mean they trapped it and took it away rather than actually throwing it out the window. Which I'd probably have done. The little bastards.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 19:17, Reply)

Foxes have as much right to live as every other creature as they have evolved alongside us. So, if people don't like them being somewhere, they'll just have to think of ways to fence them off from where you don't want them to be. It's the humans' problem , not theirs.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 22:34, Reply)

if it was my garden. Especially if it was the garden my kids played in.
But I don't have a gun so i'd probably throw potatoes or something.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 18:31, Reply)

They hate citrus and have to clean themselves with their tongues, they won't come back in a hurry.
Works a treat on cats too }:-)
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 19:16, Reply)

on the fox thing, but I like cats and i'd let them sunbathe in my garden all day long. They don't eat children.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 19:26, Reply)

but they have attacked peoples pets.
Foxes are cold killers. They go into a frenzy and will kill everything around them when able. I once lost 14 ducks to one fox in a single night - it just tore them into bloody chunks and left the bits lying around.
Best solution is a shooting and poison cull. Kill all of the fuckers before one actually does attack a child. That will happen eventually as they get bigger & bolder.
Anyone who keeps livestock knows how foxes are.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 21:44, Reply)

If disturbed they won't go back though, hence the reputation as cold blooded murderers.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 22:01, Reply)

Foxes simply do not attack humans. Like cats, they just don't dig on dudes.
You seem to be fearmongering a problem that doesn't exist.
edit: also, cats are cold blooded killers. When I was younger I came home from school to find a birds nest on the lawn, with an entire family of birds neatly executed and arranged. It spooked me something rotten.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 22:37, Reply)

But don't make up tales about what they do and why.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 22:44, Reply)

my experiences with foxes have not been good. I can only base my opinions on experience. You are Chris Packham AICMFP
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 22:49, Reply)

You implied something about fox behaviour that isn't true, something that is a common misconception, that they kill and leave the dead animals behind for shits and giggles.
They've just learn't to store food for the winter. When numbers get too high they inevitably come into conflict with people as they like a lot of the same food as us.
Chris Packham is ace. But I got this info from Sir Attenborough.

( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 15:34, Reply)

McNish wasn't driving the car that crashed, he merely happened to be in the way.
I've spent the last ten minutes or so trying to find out who/what it was that flew behind him but haven't been able to yet.
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 20:15, Reply)

The car is Team Courage Oreca, Stephane Ortelli at Monza 2008
Link is confusing as it states Le Mans 2009
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 21:03, Reply)

I figured it was probably a Courage Oreca and had got the name Stephane Ortelli, but couldn't get any further.
Monza eh? It certainly does a good impression of the first chicane down towards Mulsanne...
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 21:31, Reply)

That it may, but Monza it is.
It's the chicane after the Start/Finish straight, Mulsanne has a much longer run in to the chicane with a chicane that precedes it.
In the video above you can see the previous corner is not too distant.
Edit: In addition Pits are visible on the left i.e. Monza
( , Sat 11 Jun 2011, 21:57, Reply)

I admit I was having trouble reconciling that side of the track with the side of the straight at Le Mans, but I guess I overlooked it as the chicane itself was a good match. Now you tell me it's Monza I can see it clearly.
Confirmation bias FTL.

Was listening to the radio stream when it happened. Sounded nasty but nowhere near as bad as that. That car was so close to jumping the Armco, Christ alone knows whether the catch fencing would have stopped it at that speed...

cheers, might try and watch it tonight. Found it randomly whilst reading reviews of another "not much happening" film Le Quattro Volte - now showing at selected nickelodeons. Sounds like a nice double bill to me.

Ive heard of this, should have seen it living in Aberystwyth and all, and my cousins mother inlaw knowing the director and telling me about it. Looks and sounds good, will have to give a butchers.

The Le Mans 24hr kicks off very shortly at 2pm our time.
Live coverage is kind of hard to come by, but SpeedTV are running it for sections of the race
stream.speedtv.com/corvette
00:30 - 04:30 AM tonight
09:00 - 12:00 Sunday
(I may have these slightly wrong - I'm crap at figuring out timezones)
Got this completely wrong - its live cockpit footage from the #73 Corvette right now.
Radio Le Mans are running an audio stream at:

The fastest cars are capable of higher speeds than F1 cars and have to run faultlessly non-stop for an entire day. So yes, I like it.

do they have that new super car racing?
