Stuck record sues. Likely argues that this kind of thing would be outlawed in an independent Scotland.

SNP to take legal action over ITV election debate

She'll never get the indy vote by only allowing the Scottish people to vote for it. LOLZ.
Still, keeps her in her £144,687 a year job, much better than the average £23,150 that the rest of the voters get.
(Disclaimer: I'm allowed to say this as I'm a jock who lives in England- the rest of yous are just RACISMISTS)

They might then be more motivated rather than getting their noses into the trough and claiming all expenses possible, Same with those who claim zero hour contracts are welcomed by their employees as it gives them flexibility and a choice of working hours. So if it's so great why are not Management on the same regime? "Yeah fuck off back home on no pay and we will call you in when you need to chair a meeting bully your staff and have a 3 hour business lunch."

According to the independent they usually get 80 days recess a year, note no holidays or sick pay.
So 365-80 to get 285 'working' days, round that up to 41 7 day weeks, deduct another 82 days for weekends so that's them down to 203 days.
According to a survey in 2010, they work 69 hour weeks so that would be 13.8hrs a day. 13.8*203 gives us 2801.4 hrs but we round that down as we're not paying for that .4 as its not even half an hour.
2801*7.83=21, 931.83 less tax of 20% on the 9431.83 above the 12500 threshold, so 21931.83 - 1886.37 = 20045.46
Divide by 12, so 1670.45 per month after tax
But wait, I forgot national insurance contributions so that's another 1595.98 off your take home pay to take you down to about 18,451.28 a year or 1537.60 a month.
Does that help?
(, Thu 14 Nov 2019, 0:43, Reply)
What would the attraction be to a job where half the people who were around you thought you were a cunt and you only got £7.83 an hour for the privilege...
It'd certainly make working in an Amazon (other shit jobs are available) warehouse a lot more attractive, and if you were really bothered about making people's living standards better you'd probably try a whole lot fucking harder.
Guess it's easier to look down from the top though? Amirite? Hold my pint!

It's upsetting to see someone on television who likes to be part of a really big fruity club continually asking if they can leave another fruity club, without actually having the capability of being in either that big fruity club without being in the other smaller fruity club.
You understand like yeah, and r u still ok hun?

You're "upset" that Sturgeon is promoting the idea of an independent Scotland within the EU?
Why does that upset you?
(, Thu 14 Nov 2019, 1:29, Reply)
It's Sturgeon I can't fucking stand. Anybody who can't respect the outcome of vote they championed because its not the result they hoped for is a cunt.
Plus, we're not ready to be independent. Have you seen the Scottish Parliament in action? Jesus fucking Christ. What are we going to base out economy on? Shortbread and almost the best Whisky in the world? Brilliant idea, that.
(, Wed 13 Nov 2019, 23:30, Reply)
Why would you try and base an economy on shortbread and whisky?
That just seems daft.
(, Thu 14 Nov 2019, 1:30, Reply)
Brexit is likely inevitable at this point, so playing for independence means it's possible to use the angle that you can worm your way back into the EU after. That covers the remain. Then there's the hard nationalists who fucking hate UK and England. They want oot and probably voted leave anyway. I'm not sure the Tories would be up for another Indie vote, but it's possible Labour could be convinced (depending on the election result obvs)
(, Thu 14 Nov 2019, 6:32, Reply)
They stand on a platform of being the only ones who can stand up to the evil Tories in Westminster, but their success is the reason we've got a Tory government. The only party that can unseat the Tories is Labour, and they need the Scottish seats to be able to win an election.
Tactically it's really clever as it means the SNP get to have their cake and eat it. It probably isn't doing Scotland any good in the long run though as the SNP can just be marginalised as a minority party in Westminster.
While we're at it, how do nationalist parties like UKIP get such a hard time, but the SNP get a free pass?
(, Thu 14 Nov 2019, 9:37, Reply)
I'm not aware of the SNP getting a "free pass"?
However the SNP have always promoted an inclusive, civic nationalism. That's why so many Scots of English origin have chosen to settle and build lives in Scotland. UKIP, in contrast, peddle an insular, xenophobic nationalism, based on fear of "the other".
It's not difficult to see the difference.

Followed by a well formulated venting that would have brought a tear to the eye of a war hardened Billy Connolly.
"...aye to that, and to sum it up FARK OFF ya lying piece of SHIITE." She would conclude, gently waving the now empty glass of single malt.

There are lots of things Sturgeon can be justifiably criticised for, but what can't be denied is that she takes her job seriously, and delivers a consistent message.
That's a stark contrast with the moral emptiness, serial falsehood and straightforward incompetence of lazy media performer, Boris Johnson.
I think Sturgeon gets a lot of flak simply because she's a strong woman. That's still a problem for a lot of insecure people.

And by book, I mean something like "Total Money Makeover".
It´s basically the common sense my gramps slapped into me, but I'll save you 1£ from the bargain bin by giving you all the main points without the born again Jesus crap:
- Pay housing, food and stuff for survival/work first.
- Pay the rest with what is left.
- Do a fucking budget, a 0 based preferably, stick to it.
- Don't have money for shit, save up or don't get it.
- Factor in risk when doing financial stuff.
- A high credit score is not used by all banks, I mean some of them ask for income, assets and the like, at a face to face meeting before even thinking of setting up a mortgage.
Then, if you fucked up and are trying to get out of the hole:
Step one:
- Get current on your debts, don't get new ones. Leasing or renting stuff is stupid expensive, don't fucking do it, be it cars or handbags.
- Live like a poor student with no money.
- Get a second job temporarily - max out overtime, rent your Gran on Gumtree, sell cat portraits on ze internets.
- Sell all the crap you don't use.
Step two:
- Save up 1000£ as minimum emergency fund.
Step three:
- Pay off your debts starting with the smallest one or the taxman (don't wait to pay off mortgage for next step).
Step three:
- Save up 3 months of expenses for a ermergency fund, Xmas or a date is NOT A FUCKING EMERGENCY.
Step four:
- Start saving for a down payment on a house, start putting a bit extra on the retirement account etc. live normally YOU FUCKTWAT WITH A LIP PIERCING.
I mean, its not fucking rocket science.

If life has taught me anything (which is itself debatable), it's that everyone, at any given moment, is somewhere on the cunt spectrum. It's important to recognise that the behaviour of the Conservative party is massively, abhorrently, and punitively cunty, and it's entirely possible to replace them with altogether different cunts who are perhaps only modestly cunty. You can choose. It's important.

I genuinely don't understand why people think this works. No-one I know reacts positively to this kind of message. Demonising people with different views on how to run a country never works. Painting UK political parties as evil is nonsense when there is real evil in the world.
What we desperately need is professional, capable and intelligent legislators who don't deal in 5 second quotes for social media. We need genuine thinkers who are able to consider all aspects of any legislation, not just what plays well to their tribal audience.

(, Wed 13 Nov 2019, 18:48, Reply)
It's been debunked many, many times. The number was an estimate was from an academic paper that has been horribly misquoted to score cheap political points. This is from Channel 4, hardly a fan of the torys - www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/factcheck-did-austerity-kill-120000-people
The only viable statistic linked to increased deaths is the rise of obesity. The country is literally eating itself to death.
I don't like the torys either, but then again I think we have some of the worst politicians ever right now. Not one compares favourably with the genuinely clever legislators from the past who actually tried to write good law, not pose for Facebook videos.
I really can't be bothered to vote this time around.

Except that the link you posted isn't bothering to check the validity of the author's claims. No one knows why 45,000 extra people died unexpectedly, but you certainly can't say with any evidence or certainty that it was down to austerity, or extrapolate from that to saying the tories killed 120000. It's poor science and all it does is feed the "don't trust experts" trolls.
