A new thread about anything
12 hours since the last new thread, in which the males were hounded off by a bunch of wimpy, post menapausal, girls.

Now guys, MTFU and let's talk about cars, music and other bloke stuff.

Or, what is your favourite kind of doily?

I just watched Terminator Judgement day and cried at the end.
It may be my hormones or it may be the wine but I'm turning into a right soft git. I preferred it when I was dead inside.

In other news, I was in bed by ten o'clock last night.

Woo! Rock and roll!

Where the hell is everyone?
Also does anyone else know if the corner shop sells puff pastry before I go there in the cold?

well, it's been fun and all with the snow.. people are getting a bit too bloody cute with it.
i saw a snow kitten the other day.

i feel it worth demonstrating to the world there are still some among us who temper our sudden snow-induced childlike wonder with some miserable bastardry.

there's other, less curmudgeonly snow stuff on my profile too, and some clips from santacon, where yet more curmudgeonly antics went down.

I had to drive from Suffolk to Edinburgh today on my own
Just past Newcastle the snow was three feet deep in the centre of the road. I got here four hours later than I should have done. Has anyone else been out travelling in this shit?

Today I made
Chocolate chip cookies and orange cake just to keep warm.
Also if we get snowed in we won't die from lack of cake.

Anyone want some?

I can't go anywhere
I live up a hill. It's too icy.
I got a taxi to and from Tesco yesterday.
I normally love staying in but this is starting to annoy me.
Entertain me!

Daft Tattoos
Anyone got any tales?

I ask because I've just been woken up by a mate at uni, I'd be angry normally, but he informs me another mate got 'FREE MARLON KING' emblazoned on his body whilst under the influence last night. He hasn't woken up yet, I bet that'll be fun when he does.
Marlon King, for those who are unaware, is a recently disgraced footballer jailed for assaulting a woman in a nightclub. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8332029.stm

I'm going to die from laughing.

Help. I've been forced into a Mac
Any PC users considering buying a Mac, don't. just fucking don't. the video card and sound card are lovely. the keyboard was apparently designed for someone with hands the size of a 2-year-old midget with advanced muscular dystrophy, and the mouse should get thrown under a bus.
oh, and if anyone has any suggestions on how to make a mac palatable for a pc user (other than crushing it with a large rock), i'm all ears.

Bored of having to walk in the snow?
Annoyed that it takes so much longer than driving? Then why not try the awesome sport of SNOW CYCLING!

Fly past pedestrians, with only a mild amount of terror that you're about to deck it and die at any moment, and with a wind-chill factor multiplied by a mere one million!

It's actually quite fun, other than the fact that it freezes your hands. Give it a go. You know you wanna.

RGHT NOW
My cousin is asking Facebook whether she should get fake boobs.
Most messages are suggesting she should 'go for it' because it's 'the best thing I eva did x'.

I'm interested to see if anybody says "Don't go cutting yourself open, love. Not unless you have to."

What would you tell her?

So here in Ipswich we have only had a little snow compared to the surrounding area.
I used to teach at a school in Felixstowe, 8 miles away, and my friends there have not been to school since Wednesday.

So this, which I have posted on /links, really sums up how I have felt the last few days.

On the list of people I wish hadn't seen me naked
My pizza delivery guy has been joined by a startled 6-year-old girl. And she stared at me for at least a minute before her dad dragged her off to get changed.

Who do you wish hadn't seen you naked? Or alternatively, at what age should kids go get changed in their own gender changing room?

Susannah Reid Fans
Somebody directed me to this website:

(Perhaps not the safest work viewing)

www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1241610/BBC-Breakfast-presenter-Susanna-Reid-viewers-wearing-low-cut-dress-acting-flirtatiously-Hugh-Grant-interview.html

Obviously someone directed me because I don't read that. No way siree!! I basically just ejaculated into the paper bin and I hope noone saw me because I got a row for that before..

I woke this morning
to the sight of new snow all over the place. That made me sit up in bed and look down at the cars to gauge how much had fallen.

Turns out that it was only about an inch or so deep. And it apparently stopped before my son went to bed, because there was a CDC on my windshield.

Little shit.

A huge wasp just flew into our office, did a circuit of the room and flew back out again!

A fuckin wasp! In the snow! At this time of year? Yup, a real buzzy wasp!

Not many people know this
I was one of those abandoned babies that you sometimes hear about. Found on a beach in County Clare in Ireland. I wonder if there are any others like me out there? Perhaps we could get together and form a club - abandonedbabies.com

So there you go.

This freezing temperature bollocks
Is exactly that - bollocks. I've just been for a delightful walk through the local woodland wearing what I'd normally wear on top of the usual stuff if it's a bit cold - a jacket and scarf. I was fine.

And isn't it great how a ramble through the snow can clear your head. I had a very enjoyable time, until I realised that whilst singing along to Arcade Fire at the top of my lungs (for a good ten minutes) while I walked along the river, there was a group of people behind me the entire time. How I wanted the ground to swallow me up.

Anyone else have any singing in public horror stories? I have too many to mention.

Fucking wankers.....
I do apologise but, who thinks it is a great idea to put water all over their cars so it goes on the pavement resulting in me falling over and really hurting myself:(.....what is funny is that i had spend an hour and a half walking to work to fall right outside work.
So laugh it up.
What fun joys have you been up to this morning?
