Crumpets are all spongey and have big holes.
Muffins are all floury like bread a bit.
The pics don't show the difference well. You must taste to truly believe.

I didn't make it on the first day
or any monday since - but it's good. I don't feel too old and I have new people to go to the pub with - it's rather spiffing if I do say so myself. Naff all money though but that's no change.

erm well I compensate for being increbily shy by being quite noisey
that and I like a beer so I generally sit in the classes for a couple of weeks work out who I want to talk to and talk to them. Or suggest nipping to the pub for a quick beer. It seems to work astonishingly well.
Otherwise I'm shit at it.

It's a difficult one
I think the key is not to think about it too much. I used to agonise for ages about what to say before and afterwards where as its best to just let the flood gates open to some extent.
That said I do spend most of my evenign lurking on a message board so I'm not sure I have any place to advise from really :)

best thing to do is just to start talking to them about crap
it'll get easier. Most people will be happy to have a chat - the others arent worth bothering with - unless they are cute/have money

it's one of those things that you need to start off small and work your way up on
