That was just guesswork. I didn't know how to do it, so I made it up.
It didn't work as well as I'd hoped, so I smudged the horizon and the ripples together, so they lined up better.

In the end I grabbed a bit of horizon and reflected it horizontally to make a scrolling background.

i'd double the number of frames, keep the bird and flea the same but slow the background so it loops once over the run through, and the others loop twice. If you see what I mean. It will look more 3D. (Possibly).
