I think that started as a blog too. Major takeaway was that most police work was domestic disputes, where they wanted their partners taken away but not charged. The rest seemed to be doing the paperwork for the former.

This is a normal post I had a run in with the law yesterday and they were surprisingly professional.
I was in a ward at a hospital picking up a family member with a broken leg, there was a violent guy there, clearly on his way to being sectioned, with two police officers to restrain him. I saw them at work for at least a couple of hours and they were nothing but compassionate, even with this guy spitting at them, stamping their feet, kicking them, and calling them all kinds of cunts. I could not have maintained that level of patience and restraint.

This is a normal post Because he was so tiringly violent. I'm not a violent guy but I'd probably reach my breaking point within two hours of physical and verbal abuse.
The guy was at times posing quite a risk to patients and staff in the ward (he kicked a doctor and knocked over a disabled girl and scared a load of people away), I'd have at least wanted him on the ground to cuff him, and by that point I wouldn't have minded using a bit of violence to get him there.

But these two young police officers were great, they kept him on his feet to cuff him (which took a long time with him fighting back) and afterwards sat him in a comfy chair before loosening the cuffs.

They let him burn himself out physically, then verbally (ranting about Nazis, needles, the future, and how everyone is a cunt and trying to kill him). Eventually I think he must have had to pay his oxygen debt and went into shock.

However, what I'm taking from this is a screenshot and your personal reading of it. You're offended, and that's OK.

My reading of it? It's a game which is poking fun at the visual novel style of game, which I tend to avoid in general because they CAN go incredibly close to the wire and there's a history of Japanese made games switching up ages as they translate to English. The "joke" that you posted is incredibly overt (and they need a better writer) but that's it. It's words which you are finding offensive.

There's no "aim to rape" or "minigame to have sex". If there was, you'd have found it. It's a throwaway line - and as I interpret it, intended to be a crass joke for those who know the genre.

It's a shit joke, and perhaps I wouldn't have posted the video if I'd gotten to that part. But I didn't. And the game remains on Steam and other platforms, so I'm assuming - rightly or wrongly - that the game is fine. I'm not going to play it any more, or watch any videos... because I've already wasted far too much time talking about it.

that is free on steam, that a lot of other people have played considerably further.
Later on that screen cap takes place, at a point in the game that Dogbomb didn’t play, so isn’t in his video. Apparently this game and all content is Dogbomb’s responsibility? ( See also my comments about what the game is parodying, this week and last week, if you want to be really really bored, I’m not arguing with Sockcooker any more, it’s utterly pointless)

Whereas DB definitely has played plenty of games where he shoots a lot of people (usually accompanied by “knacked him!”) and one where he hoyed a load of shite out of the shower, which was one of the funniest I’ve seen for a while at the time.

I'm open to the idea that the game is not actually about raping children but includes themes of sexual violence - in the same way that GTA5 is not a sexual assault simulator but involves a character who is a violent sex offender.

I ran a search for reviews of the game and only found a page of various sites and videos with the same promotional spiel, the YBN video, and b3ta arguments. I can't easily tell if it is what you say it is, and I don't really want to watch a video review if what you say is true.

You can't both be right and dogbomb seems to have responded to my questions reasonably, so from my perspective the onus is on you to prove that dogbomb, youtube and Steam are all wrong.

"Retard" can be an excellent verb but is always a shitty noun.

Transgressive art and humour must have a place somewhere and I expect a lot of the people using terms like retard, spaz, and other bigoted words and phrases, think it's edgy transgressive and ironic. I'd even go so far as to accept that sometimes it genuinely is.

It can be hard to tell the difference between real bigots and those behaving like bigots for the sake of their art/work/performance/whatever. I lean towards the idea that bigots reveal themselves in their acts of bigotry - their use or permissiveness of bigoted language for example.

A friend of mine, of Jamaican origins, went there in 1996 when her daugher was in the olympics, and suffered truly appalling racist abuse. OK, that's anecdotal, but I have no reason to disblieve her.

The problem is endemic in the USA, especially the bottom bits.

There are problems in the UK too, but it's not so bad. We have a few "bad cops" but they are increasingly rare; the vast majority of them are great. We've moved on from Gene Hunt ("Life on Mars", set in 1973).

In England, now, a "fine upstanding" young black friend with a nice car gets stopped by cops a disproportinate number of times. Admittedly, he's driving in the wee small hours 'coz he works as a bouncer, but still disproportionate compared to colleagues. He's not too bothered about it, but it still sucks ass.

I'm trying to say... regarding racism, the UK is not perfect; far from it; but WAY better than the US.

The stuff we're seeing in the USA is abhorrent, and action is required. No, not burning down stuff; changing stuff.

UK needs to change too. Stop tolerating hate speech and racism.
