This is a link post Blimey. I didn't realise this.
I know some on here resent F9's showy/OTT/high production but I had no idea this is how Google and Meta were making so much revenue.

This is a normal post I quite like a lot of F9's content, although I could do without seeing so much of his hare lip.
But this is just a thinly veiled 9 minute ad for the fact that F9 sells MTB accessories on his website. He does a lot of shit like this. There's an even worse one which was a glaringly obvious sponsored video for an action came. It was fucking embarrassing.

This is a normal post With 2.26M subscribers, I suspect he's probably doing not too bad.
I'm fine with these kinds of content creators flogging their wares, but this is a bit much.
Alec over at Technology Connections can make a genuinely interesting video, full of completely relevant content, and stick in a quick 2 minute 'buy my socks' bit. It's unobtrusive, honest, and works.
This cunt makes a 9 minute video of him fucking about on his bike, peppered with shots of his webstore, whilst monologuing about shady monetisation pratices in promotional campaigns, and tops it off with a 'buy my MTB accessories' message at the end.

The whole video is a fucking ad.

I do love the production value of F9's work, but i've see two too many of these types of videos from him now. It's grabby as fuck.

This is a normal post It's a store that sells motorbike kit and bike bits
some people are angry pants that they're making videos that aren't just a guy standing next to a motorbike talking about the motorbike for no money but very slick, glossy and sneakily plugging the stuff they sell. They do tyre reviews, helmets, gloves etc but this one's showing how Google and Meta basically sell advertising but because they know when someone will buy something anyway jumping in just before they do then charge a huge ad fee. Using their own bike bits as an example.

I can see why purists are unhappy, but I really enjoy their stuff.

Truth is the helpdesk was shit and 50% full of numpties that they can't seem to jettison. 50% of the people who were any good were actively hostile to users. One of the numpties was described as a clockwork mouse. you could wind him up and give him some instructions but if anything deviated from that he couldn't handle it. and that description came from one of his colleagues!

I remember having to choose a hosted server, and one had some "Best server award" or similar.
Curious, I looked up the award which had very few details on its website, but it did have a company name which I looked up. It shared the same registered address as the company that offered the server. I've since seen numerous examples of similar across a range of products, like insurance. If you want an award just create one and award yourself it.

I'm trying a new "business" model with The Bionics in that anyone who buys a CD gets TWO free downloads from the page, and anyone who buys a Digital LP gets ONE free download from the page. No rush, no obligation.

The aim is to get funds to make a CD & LP of the 3rd album entitled ASTRO MAMBO! with a very special cover by this parish's very own Happy Toast.

The massive changes in product legislation that werecrolled out at that time are kind of what created my career.

This is a normal post It still has a month left and some of the electronics are rare enthusiast gear.

Like this guy who goes thru it all...

I'd luv to have a Hohner Guitaret but they sell for over $2,000 and the two in the auction could hit $3,500-$4,500 with the Kraftwerk provenance.

Fortunately, someone uploaded samples of one for free.

Sadly, there isn't a Kraftwerk branded musical pocket calculator.

This is a normal post You could have gone with The Muppets/Fraggles/Dark Crystal Henson auction instead.
Contains fewer saxophones

This is a normal post Indeed, I was taken aback by the amount of saxophonage on offer.
So I've put a bid on Zoot the Muppet sax player instead.

Well.... The photo makes him look like he has special needs. The idea that being witnessed on CCTV by professional security guards is the same thing as acting in public is somewhat troubling. The comments suggest Northern Echo readers might be a bit thick.

Wtf was the act itself though? How was the branch used? What, specifically, was cleaned off the morning after? So many unanswered questions.

I think the best thing about it is that he should now have earned a nickname based on that act that he will have to explain in 30 years time.

Hello, I've been off for a year as I've been making so much stuff and not seeing anybody else's so I didn't want to be a self-spammer. But this is great. Not Kid Creole related but at least it's got nothing to do with the Bristol scale.
