Especially since I've managed to burn my fingers and hands quite successfully. And it hurts. A lot. And I have work tonight. That's going to be interesting.
Apparently I can't even make a cup of tea without injuring myself. What things did you think you were mostly competant at doing, only to be painfully proven wrong??

I have been reading up on basic hypnosis. I find it all rather interesting, as it appeals to my mischievous nature....

...The Ian Brown review below, I thought I'd start a discussion on this hallowed board.
At the last Belmers intensive rehearsal evening*, Pooflake, Pooflake's bro and my good self were talking about musical 'sacred cows' I:E the artists/bands etc that it's heresy to dislike.
I came up with:-
Oasis - a barely adequate pub band with a dickhead frontman.
Elvis - never rated him.
U2 - Jeez, where do I start?
Anyone fancy a go?
* sitting noodling around on guitars and getting drunk.

back from hospital as contractions stopped the minute we got there. plus midwife was being a bit of a btich. told me to try paracetamol. right, like that'll make any fucking difference.
so am strapped up to a TENS machine, which feels like a million tiny horses galloping across my back, but makes little difference to the pain.
bitch midwife said it'll probably be a few days yet. Days! am rapidly going off the idea of having a baby, and almost long for just being uncomfortable and unable to sleep, which i was was whining about earlier in the week.
oh, and i've had a severe sense of humour failure too noel.

this week has been a shit one in terms of work related boredom. I've had fuck all to do, which has meant every single little task has dragged interminably.
Fortunately I'm playing a gig tonight, then going to get battered and sleep all of tomorrow morning. Followed by mild DIY and an evening in with the missus.
Recording on sunday I reckon.
What are your plans?

reading the questions on Ask Yahoo. Specifically, the Singe/Relationship category. It's like one big problem page. And the 'advice' given is sometimes amusing, sometimes annoying, but always utterly useless.
How are you whiling away your Friday afternoon? Or Tuesday morning if you're in Australia.
Ok, so I don't understand time zones.

Despite all of this recession nonsense, I've been offered two jobs.
Do I:
Take the one that's near to me, pays well but is only a temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent within a rapidly expanding company after christmas?
Or, do I take a lower paid job that's much further away, meaning I'd have to spend loads on travel every month, but is actually a decent job with better prospects within a prestigious Architectural firm?
I'm looking for affirmation that going for the first job, where the short-term money is at is the right thing to do, here

www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/sep/24/ian-brown-my-way-review
of the new Ian Brown album, perfectly encapsulates my views on the stupid monkey faced twat in a way I probably never could.
Come on you Ian Brown devotees, tell my I'm wrong, and please try and explain to me that the first Stone Roses album was more than four or five sublime guitar based pop songs glued together with a bunch of weakly produced filler tracks.

Suddenly from looking at this, I had a flash of a memory, me in first grade, our teachers making stone soup after we read the book, some kid puking all over the place from the smell.
What have you suddenly blahblahblah?

I put the empty chocolate hobnob wrapper back in the biscuit box. Son has just found it and asked "What crazed sadistic bastard has done that?"
"HaHa " quoth I, in best melodramatic stylee "Hear me laugh youngling!"

What's amused you more than it should have recently?

I've just got home from the hospital, as I was woken this morning by contractions and some pretty serious bleeding. hospital decided bleeding wasn't quite serious enough, so I've been sent home to type this between contractions, I mean, labour at home.
so baby may arrive sometime this week, yay!
driving up the M11 was fun in rush hour though, as all the HGVs appeared to be locked in some sort of epic drag race all the fucking way to Cambridge. However, I kept the mood light between moans and pointed out every honda accord I saw on the way. there were lots of them.

I make no secret of the fact that I think Don't stop moving by S Club is fucking awesome.
