he's like me! when I was a kid (that is, 4) I didn't separate heads from bodies when I was drawing them either.
woo!

edit - that reminded me -
when I was small the class was asked to draw a picture of our dads doing whatever they did on the weekend so the pictures could be displayed for "father's night". I drew dad in bed watching tv with a can of beer on the nightstand and a ciggie in his mouth. needless to say that drawing did not go up with the rest but was handed over to my mum who has kept it hidden away to this day. oh the shame!

i have one of my drawings from when i was about three or four hidden in a book somewhere. it's my vision of jamaica (with a little story of the island i imagined, too), and for some reason i assumed everyone there lived in teepees, so that's what i drew.
another one from about the same time shows that i was learning adverbs and that i obviously liked them -- the words 'bulldozerly' and 'gardenly' are featured quite prominently.

...the emphasis was on sharing, so a crayon pack had to be shared by two kids. this miserable little girl named karen mason (yes, i remember almost all of their names, and it was over thirty years ago) was my crayon 'buddy' and she tried to hog the green and blue to herself. in retaliation, i rarely let her use the black.

ms. mason also assumed that she and i were to be married. she was sadly mistaken.
she also looked like a miniature wilma flintstone, and flirted exclusively with outcasts (me and a greek kid named george whose parents forced him to wear a suit and tie to school every day were her main targets). later, jennifer mccullough tagged me as her own, but that fizzled too when it was discovered we shared the same birthday and she resented me for having to share the limelight with me.
after them, i shunned the ladyfolk.
