Okay people, I'm thoroughly pissed off
I've been trying to convert a midi file into an mp3 all afternoon, downloading and installing all sorts of free conversion programmes. But they're all written in unintelligible jargon or will only let me convert the first minute of the song or won't save. Can anybody out there tell me a free programme (don't care if it's only a 15-day trial) which will save the entire song, or perhaps convert the file for me if I send it to them? And so this isn't threadwaste, behold my Nottingham B3ta Bash wallpaper. edit: The wondrous mugatu's sorted it all for me, but thanks to everyone else's suggestions and offers.

Midi as you know
is not an audio format therefor conversion is not supposed to be possible. I suggest that you use something to convert it to WAV then convert the wav to MP3 with any old program.www.audiohero.com/midi_to_wav.htm edit:/ also if you find out what your e-mail server maximum file limit is I'll split Quicktime 7 pro up into manageable zips and post it to you. ( it's 21MB )

I’ve done it with creative recorder (sound blaster live card) but I would think any wav recorder would do. Set it to "what you hear". Also did the same thing with some .ram audio files. Quality seems pretty decent too.

unfortunately everyone probably feels they have images
that weren't sufficently appreciated but if everyone reposted the board would become very dull... if you can't resist the urge to post old stuff nicer to do it in an existing thread, preferably a relevant one edit: heh. i thought it was all one long confusing piece. as an aside, i've seen one of them before, i didn't comment because it was off the main board, but i still appreciated it. edit edit: looking again the size of that post really is a bit unsociable, and i'm sure that pavarotti one has been posted a few times now /schoolteacher-ish moaning :)

well, if the first one ISN'T a repost,
why not just post that one and have heaps of adoring praise bestowed upon you for the new image? - rather than creating a total thread of pictures in excess of 400k? Don't get me wrong, most of the images are great, but recommendations are put in the FAQ for a reason...
