It's tragic when someone so utterly brilliant as DNA
has a family that will sell off rights for the cash. They sold the film rights to Disney after all and he was utter opposed to them doing a film of hitchiker's when he was alive.

He wasn't opposed to making a film though, that's why he moved to California.
I actually talked to him about it once. In 1991 in fact. He said at that point he was still trying to buy the rights back off Columbia and was working on a new script. He didn't want it made by someone who didn't get it essentially.

He was not opposed to the film and he met many times with Disney
They would not give him creative rights and this was why he was opposed to Disney doing it. He hated the scripts that he was presented by them and they would not make the changes he wanted.

I am purely going by what I have found though my research of a guy who I always thought was a literary genius but also a technological pioneer.
He was not happy with any of the scripts Disney presented him and they would not make the changes that he insisted were made which was why he never gave them the go ahead.

(gronkpan@vomitinglarry.bsky.social,

No it is not a joke, it's called CONCEPTUAL ARTWORK, have you heard of it, or have you been living under a rock for the past decade?
This section is for constructive criticism, and if you don't have anything constructive to say, then take your negative vibes elsewhere. It's not my fault you lack the visual literacy required to appreciate works such as this.
(gronkpan@vomitinglarry.bsky.social,
Sat 8 Aug 2009, 8:05,

This is not strong enough to stand on its own now - all I see is a badly photographed apple in plastic foil.
You might want to think of a way to present your concept better, more clearer, maybe in relation to other work.
(gronkpan@vomitinglarry.bsky.social,
Sat 8 Aug 2009, 8:05,
archived)
hahaha. I have a similar artwork in my colon right now.
Millions upon millions of people have adressed important problems of their time with art. Furthermore, proclaiming that your work is revolutionary and requires high visual literacy reflects very, VERY poorly on yourself (even disregarding the fact that this has been done thousands of times in some form or another, and is very easy to understand). With that attitude you will turn off every potential buyer or client you ever meet. And that, quite frankly, is something you can't afford to do when all you have to offer is artwork of this low level quality.

The problem is and I have with it.
1. It's your very first post. 2. You don't introduce yourself. 3. And present it as professional work. 4. The foto is either too low resolution or the focus of your camera was totally off.
It's how you present it as a whole. The attitude of your post.
And yes, maybe I am not too openminded when it comes to these kind of art(?)....
... when all I see is an eaten apple, wrapped in plastic foil, placed on a wooden table(?) and photographed out of focus.
So I am sorry if you feel offended. But there are so many A-holes on the internet that make fun out of artists.... that the way you presented this (and also as your first post)... that I thought that you were one of them and that this was a joke. Yes.
(gronkpan@vomitinglarry.bsky.social,
Sat 8 Aug 2009, 8:06,
archived)
Yes, I agree that the photo is poor, I do not have very high quality photography equipment.
I can't take another photo because the artwork has been sold. This is what I mean by professional, I am not trying to imply that my art is of a higher standard than anyone else.
Maybe its true that all you see is an eaten apple wrapped in foil, but is that not the nature of conceptual art. It is both its downfall and its brilliance. Hirst's The Impossibility of Death In The Mind of The Living is only a shark in a box if you want to look at it like that. But if you choose not to, it opens up a world of possibility.

The statement, which was released by Town Manager David Cressman, said that the town was first informed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of "possible irregularities to its health-insurance program enrollment" on July 15.
Cressman declined yesterday to give more details about the alleged irregularities.
Melanie Sitar, 50, handed in her resignation and the reimbursement on July 16.
After further investigation by Cressman and Police Chief Alfred Donovan, the town launched discharge proceedings against her this week. She was officially terminated yesterday.
