there's no denying that those murals are bloody weird.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2011, 1:04, Reply)
I was stuck at Denver airport overnight sort of march/april time and I thought the bloody things were a bit weird.
They also had a large mural (about 8' high x 20') wide painted directly onto the wall that had nazis in it. I'm sure I took a picture... I'll have a dig around :D

Fun little film I saw on the Horror channel the other night.
Well worth checking out if you like that sort of thing. B roll film in every way, and isn't as much like The Man With Two Brains as the description would make you think.
If nothing else, it's worth watching for the scene with THIS cheeky chappy

Still not seen Bad Biology, though.

I will have to seek it out now though. Bet it'll be a little gem.
Am going on a DVD spree now. I only just figured out the name of this film after ages, Electra Glide In Blue

so I will get that as well. Any other suggestions?

I'd go for this:

It's really badly made, yet somehow captures an anxiety nightmare perfectly.

I never did get around to seeing it, I will fix that. I could do this all day.

Just another boring CGI fest that's a reboot/reload/prequel of a teenage boys comic strip from another generation...
One to download watch for 30 mins then go Meh! as usual...

but X-Men First Class was, I will admit, absolutely fucking awesome, so I hope this will carry on that trend.

Too loud, too flashy, too teenage, too dumb.
Plus, even if you're retarded enough to buy into the premise of any given superhero film, the idea that you can run them together is idiotic. Iron Man is silly, and defies the laws of physics, but it doesn't involve any spooky ghosty alien stuff. Why bring the worlds together?
Besides, if it's called The Avengers and doesn't feature Diana Rigg in something close-fitting, I'm not interested.

I guess they hit their demographic then.
I'd also guess you're not it.
Fair?

dont judge a film by its trailers...
trailers are designed to maximise the commercial impact of a movie...to put it on the lowest common denominators radar...
dont worry about.

Another immensely interesting and informative documentary with Jim Al-Khalili in which he tells how the first 'natural philosophers' began to unlock electricity's mysteries, studying its curious link to life and building instruments to create it.

A video that I made about my mates painting a gorilla in Bristol.
Disclaimer: I posted the video previously but I pre-empted the press release and had to take it offline the same evening. Anyway, here it is in a higher resolution (shiny 720p) and with a bunch of photos and a link that won't break this time! I'm not a reposting bastard really! Don't hate me. I'm nice. So are you. I like your hair. Have you lost weight?
