Much like Flim's earlier geekiness
I too an seized with technoglee as my Palm Pré has arrived. I'm trying to resist the temptation to spend the afternoon setting it up and fiddling with it when I should be working.

What are you resisting the urge to fiddle with What was the last thing you had delivered?

I want to convert my 200+ CD collection to MP3 and sell 'em. Finally. How much memory will 200+ CDs take up?

Gordon Brown bullies staff shock horror.
Apparently he swears and shouts. Mtfu, and get a job on a building site for a few months. You'll learn at least 10 new, interesting obscenities, with which you can impress your peers.

I'm psychic.
I was walking into work this morning and a vision of my parents dogs playing in the office popped into my head and when I got inside, there was Benji.

And sometimes when the phone rings, I know that it's my sister or mum.

Ask Mystic Blousie what you want to know.

Following a text I got this morning, who's the person you first connected with on b3ta?
It doesn't have to be in a sexual way if you haven't met them or if you're just mates, but I'm curious to know what kept you coming here long after the appeal of OMGZ girls on the interwebs wore off.

Mine was Kaol. Way back around 2 years ago we started chatting on QOTW about random shit and he was also the first person I met at a bash. I miss him being on here all the time, but I'm glad he's happy now, even if he is in Wales.

Golly gosh!
I just got headhunted by a company in San Francisco! I love that city, and would quite happily move up there.

Where would you live, given the chance?

I watched half and episode of Doctor Who last night

it was about statues that kill people or something, I can report that it wasn't total shit.

Feel free to take this as a recommendation of a new exciting televisual program for you to slump in front of stuffing your collective gobs with doritos and spam.

That'll learn him
I was getting on the bus. The girl in front of me had a broken thumb and was struggling to get her money out and get on at the same time.
I was behind her and so wasn't fully inside the bus.
This was obviously taking too long for the driver, so instead of telling either of us to hurry up, he just starts driving and then SHUTS THE DOOR ON ME! Totally hitting me, and I could have fallen, off, as it is, I fell on.
I told him he hit me with the door and he just glared at me. No reaction. The tombstone-faced pigeon-eyed cunt.

So when I was getting off the bus I said "It's not very polite to go shutting your passengers in the door, you could have just said something!" and then, instead of just leaving it at that, I allowed the red mist to take over. And on my last step off the bus, I turned, pointed and said "I hope someone squashes your daughter in a door!!"
What the fuck?!

When should you have just shut up?

I'm just about to have my objectives set in my PDR
Thing is, I don't realy do anything that could be classed as a "S.M.A.R.T" target. I sort of just do odds and ends that need doing for my team. Everyday I get given a different (but always spreadsheet related) task.

So how I'm going to be given objctives is quite interesting, I'm sort of looking forward to it to see how my boss is going to set some.

There's an advert for coffee, I think it might be Kenco
which boasts they now have 98% less packaging as they've switched from glass jars to plastic pouches, the caveat on the ad is that it's 98% by weight. But this seems silly since glass is easily and relatively cheaply recyclable whereas plastic pouches are just going to get thrown out. Plus plastic is made form oil, whereas glass is made from sand, and we've got a lot of sand in the world.

So they are claiming to be greener, but they're really not. I for one am shocked at this. Who's with me?

Any Aussie, NZ or Asian OT people?
I find most of the topics are dying or dead by the time I get to work. This results in being the last poster or a lurker. The problem is, I'm bored shitless at work, so if there are any OT in or around my timezone (Japan), reply please.

A topic about breasts!
Last night I was watching some weird thing about milk, or it may have been dairy in general. Anyway a tall guy presented it and as it looks like all our dairy farmers are goign to go tits (fnar) up he suggested we all drink human breast milk instead.

Most people seemed more disgusted at drinking the milk from the same species than from a moocow. So... would you drink human breast milk?

Last week on that Charlie Brooker's TV thing
an embittered American comic blamed global warming on the clunge-fruit of stupid people, who were unable to stop themselves from procreating.

Now, while I agreed partly with what he was saying, I also couldn't help thinking that people had always been having children, and the only thing that had changed was that now we are all living longer.

So whose fault is it? Do we sterilise the stupid, or euthanise the old?

first new thread by me ever, so be nice, or fuck off

Argh
Homoeopathic retard on BBC news right now:( Shes an actual medical doctor who believes it works, and not just as a placebo. This makes me sad.

Winter Olympics
I've never had any interest in curling whatsoever, so why am I seeing it on in the background at 1am and then watching intently for an hour? It's only redeeming feature is that every women's team seems to have a fittie or two. I would disappoint that Eve Muirhead a number of times along with a couple in the Danish team and the whole of the Russian team. Shame they all can't curl for shit.*

*And I now say that as an expert in the sport after watching 5 matches (are they even called matches?). Oh and now look, there's ice dancing, I'm going to have to watch this as well...

Appeal to the medical types
Are there any alternatives to strong NSAI drugs? I've been trying to use Diclofenac for the last months and I'm not tolerating them at all well, culminating in a nasty episode of stomach upset and explosive diarrhoea.

Alternatively, give me new and interesting recipes for steak (I already have a griddle pan).
