So that thread holds no interest for me. Instead, I pose a question.
Imagine there's been an outbreak of a terrible, highly infectious and lethal disease, lets say... the 1918 Spanish Flu has made a comeback, and it's fast turning into a pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of people are dying already. We've made a vaccine, but there is now way we can produce enough to vaccinate everyone who needs it. Only certain groups of people will be allowed to have it, and it's your job to decide who gets it and who doesn't.
Lab staff, medical staff and the armed forces are a given but after that, who would you vaccinate, and who would you leave vulnerable?

All that talk of roast meat has made me want to buy a joint to roast tonight.
I can then have it in sandwiches for the rest of the week.
What is the best roast meat for sandwiches?

Hi all,
this story recently broke onto the news scene.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-11672840
It concerns the barrister shot by police for brandishing a shotgun- I'm sure you remember the event. Alledgedly, one of the firearm officers inserted song titles into his evidence, reminiscent of the World cup squad in 1998 when they were being interviewed.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C9NxPkyVsU
My questions is : "What song titles could the firearms officer have quoted?"
I'll start the ball rolling....Shot in the dark

Due to today being Tuesday, I'm having a Meatball Marinara for lunch. Lettuce, onions, peppers, oregano, black pepper, and a little BBQ sauce. Not bad for £1.99.
What're you lot having? Obviously, CHCB will be eating her young.
Alt Q: What is your opinion on the whole Chuck Norris craze? I find it mostly unfunny, but I read a couple the other day that made me laugh.
Alt Alt Q as the first one doesn't really provoke much discussion: How do you explain to people that you go to meet people off the internet often? My work colleagues still don't quite get it.

Right, Catface and I are getting married in about five weeks time. It's all so laid back it's horizontal. No speeches, no shitty formal traditions that I can't be arsed with, no top table, no elaborate vows.
But wait! Maybe I'm missing a trick. Now is the time to tell me what you hate about weddings so we can inflict it on our guests and make their lives even more miserable. If your answer is "weddings" then be pleased you aren't invited.
Alt question: what's the best wedding you've been to and why?

Good morning fabularati of the intertrons, what does the day have instore for you? Looking forward to a good day?
Last night I jokingly said "I would just ban all air freight from Yemin, and Simarlia too, fuck 'em, if they can't play nice with the world then they'll have to use boats... it takes a lot stronger bomb to blow up a shipping boat than a plane.".... and today on the news, that's pretty much what has happened.
Woh', I'm totally a political suggester person, didn't realise they would do that... there is probably someone in a goverment office in Simarlia who's thinking "What the fuck? I didn't even do anything this time. Damn it, this is well out of order, I even tidied my room a few days ago".

What are you listening to or watching RIGHT NOW?
www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ2qEah8Fns This is what was in my ears as I walked from Euston to King's Cross Road to meet BGB a week ago. It worked wonderfully with the hustle and bustle of Friday evening London.

I plan on sitting here pissing about on the internet, maybe watching a movie and sipping cider to celebrate the fact we've been offered a newly built two-bedroom flat across town, potentially doubling our space and giving kiddo and I our first proper "own space" together since she moved in. In fact, my first "own space" ever.

what's a deal breaker for you, both in the sack and out of?
Out of it's bad breath, I couldn't bring myself to tell them about it so there's no way it's getting fixed.
In the sack it's being thanked. IT WASN'T A SERVICE.

I'm skint, so for christmas my mrs and I are going to be making stuff for people.
On the list so far are: jars of chimichurri (thanks Monty), jars of chutney and some homemade chocolate truffles.
Give me other suggestions that don't require an obscene amount of work, or spending loads on ingredients/materials.

What did everyone think of John Stewarts Rally for sanity.
I thought it was very good, not enough is said to/about the sensible and moderate majority in both English and American politics.

What's the likelyhood that one of the computer shops on tottenham ct rd will have the right charger to fit a laptop that's about 3 years old? Also that if they had one, they'd let me test it out instore to make sure that was the problem before buying it?
My laptop died on me yesterday, but still has about an hour of charge on the battery, so I'm hoping it's just the charger that's dead. I have to pay a shitton out in exam fees this month and revision days, so really don't want to incur extra expenses unless necessary.
Alt Q: how's tgb finding living with gonz? I think she said she was moving in last weekend
AltQ2: if you were given the chance to go to the moon and walk around on the surface, but in return you had to suck off chris moyles/chris evans/another irritating cunt for the flight duration, would you still do it?

And bore you all with my petty teenage problems. Sadly I'm too petty and teenage to figure out a solution that doesn't involve shagging EVERYTHING. So I'm asking nicely for some advice.
I'm having a slight difficulty in the boy department... and it's not even about FLP. Ish. Last time I went out with him, one of his friends horrifically awkwardly asked me out on a date. I tried to turn him down as gently as possible but couldn't get out of giving him my number. So now I have an absolute weirdo sending me so many desperate, needy messages that it's getting to the point where I don't want to pick up the phone any more in case it's him. Which it usually is.
On top of that, a very good friend of mine who I used to sleep with has told me we can't be friends anymore, because he likes me too much but I'm not interested in him. Problem is I am. We would work pretty well together and I love him as a friend but there's something missing and I can't work out what. I'm just not willing to lose a friend.
So, how do I ditch the freak and keep the friend, without giving him undue hope? Life was so much easier back when I was an ugly, virgin tomboy.
Alt Q for those who don't care: What ideas do you have for genius new inventions?

Tell me something good and something bad about your weekend.
I enjoyed my Halloween party very much, so that was good. I spent all day yesterday doing fuck all so my flat is still an absolute trash heap, which is bad. I'm out tonight though so Wiggy has to clean it. This is good. He will no doubt take all the awesome decorations down though, which is bad.
I had a job interview on Saturday which I think went ok, so that was good. However, if I make it to the next round I have to be interviewed by two barristers. This is terrifying.
Ok now you go.

The boards have been reset to zero, and the mountain has to be climbed again.
Anybody else having a faintly depressing start to the day?

EDITED: The link I posted wasn't working. However this one is.
Hi,
A while ago I posted on here about a business I was setting up, selling fair trade soft toys. That didn't work out, and I've decided to try selling ethically produced diaries and journals instead. Here's the blurb for people who are interested:
NEW LEAF
I'm starting a business selling ethically produced journals and diaries. That means journals and diaries which are produced in an environmentally friendly way, without the use of child labour, and so on.
This means I need to talk to people who might be interested in buying these products, to find out what they want.
So I've made a survey. There’s only one page of questions, and it's likely to take about 5 minutes.
Anyone who completes the survey before November 30 will get 15% off on one order, of any size, made before 2012.
The survey will be anonymous. You won't have to give your name or contact details (although you can choose to, if you want to be notified when I have products for sale).
WHO SHOULD DO THIS SURVEY?
You should do this survey if you would consider buying diaries or journals, either for yourself or as a gift.
The survey is at the following address:
esurveyspro.com/Survey.aspx?id=d33cd232-d142-4d26-bdd0-8ae2e89018ad
Thanks,
James.
PS Please feel free to forward this to groups or individuals who might be interested.

The room smells of stale beer and i've got a headache.
When were you last deeply ashamed?
