# once there was a biscuit called terrence
he was a dijestive, a little bit soggy, always last to be picked at afternoon tea - his only friend one of those nasty pink wafer things called brian.
every day terrence and brian would sit in the corner of the biscuit tin, wallowing in the crumbs of their lonley lives, while the jaffacakes and hobnobs chatted gleefully about who was going to be next.

One morning, it was looking particularly desperate. brian was getting decidedly flaky and most of Terrence's writing had crumbled away.
they were alone in the dark.

Suddenly, there was movement.
"Well", said Terrence, "i suppose this is it".

"Yep. It's been a good life". mused Brian, "But the dustbin of truth beckons".

The lid opened - a bright, blinding light shone down on the biscuits, blinding them for a moment. They flew through the air, and landed on something hard and flat.

Silence.

"Wh-Where are we" cried Brian.
"Gggllsh- i.. i don't know!" gurgled Terrence.

With that final gurgle, a huge black triangle appeared in the light, a pink wafer in one corner, and swept terrence up, and away.

Flying high above the buildings, terrence smiled. "This is it, Brian, This is what we were made for. We are fulfiling our destiny".

But brian had gone, only a few pink crumbs around the crow's beak revealing what had happened. Without another word, Terrence followed.

So remember kids, Biscuits have feelings too. And the shit ones are meant for birds, not bins.

goodnight, and sleep well.

# no
people should should inspire a sense of involvement and community, not operating systems. And I should know, I live my days and nights developing in Linux, so I have an idea about zealotry.

I get very wound up by a lot of Mac users because, in my experience, they tend to be non-technical, but very fond of quoting Apple propaganda about how massively superior the Mac is to everything else..
