You have to submit to addiction. After that, you've made your choice.

Using the concept of "addiction" to justify anyone's actions is bullshit though.

If you like a bit of the smack (or whatever the fave of the kids is these days) and you go mug someone to get the cash for that? That's you making the direct moral choice that your enjoyment is more important than someone else.

Addiction has become a catchall excuse for any bad behviour when it's up to everyone to be personally responsible.

Is Harvey Weinstein a poor misunderstood sex addict, or a rapist sex pest who's trying to excuse his morally repugnant behaviour?

Opiate abuse is a socio-economic issue. Look at the reasons for people abusing not the people doing it. There's a reason that opiate abuse is pretty much constrained to one class in the UK and that's nothing to do with people pushing or otherwise, its because of a lack of education, lack of social mobility and lack of opportunity (all of which you Brexitwunts have made worse). The dealer in nearly all cases was a user first.

Comparing Opiate abuse to having a ciggie isn't quite as stupid as cerebus' false equivalence, but it's getting there.

AOC used to be 16 when I was a kid. Funny that drinking was 18 but smoking 16 for some reason. Why was that? You might know being pally mates with Ken.

Know what that means to have those 2 years difference?
It means you've got kids in schools that have legally bought fags and handing them out to younger kids for their lunch money. It meant that since I was 13/14 I could pass for 16 and buy cigs.

Took untill 10 years ago for it to be made 18 despite the lobbying of the cunts you've worked for.

Those are two very loaded words for Dan Harman. Usually things really fuck up for him around season 4. Check the timeline of `community` for more details.

He has talked about being worried. I would hope the worry will lead him to pull the stops out for season 4.

What it will probably mean in reality is we have to wait an extra year for no increase in quality.

I wonder if the people that signed petitions for this eu law to become uk law thought about how little it protects animals?

It allows bull fighting and force feeding of geese for foie gras for example.

Good. I like Foie Gras. Fuck geese, they're loud and annoying.

'Zac Goldsmith said that the discussion of the vote was “weird and dishonest”' - He'd fucking know he's an expert in "weird and dishonest"

Another MP called the reporting fake news and said: "This government, and in fact all governments, are deeply committed to continuing to protect animals as sentient beings. That law is already written into our own law.” (That much isn’t true: there’s no mention of sentience in existing UK law.)

So basically you've got two tories lying directly to our faces again and we don't actually have a better version of the act anywhere in sight? But yeah, fuck you Europe!
(, Fri 24 Nov 2017, 8:45, Reply)
This is a normal post So you support a cruel practice because geese are "loud and annoying" but get worked up about this act not becoming law?
I can only assume that you care more about the eu as an institution than what they actually do.

I look forward to the debate when some eu workers rights legislation is debated and changed slightly when it becomes uk law. No doubt you will be decrying any change to eu workers rights despite showing quite thatcherite views in the past.

For Cerebus, becuase he's a moron

I don't really give a shit about animals, except that I want them to taste nice and that generally involves not battery farming or torturing them...except for geese, I'm really 100% fine with french people torturing them.

You do know that Thatcher was hugely pro-europe right? As in she was a competent politician with half a brain that could see being a leading star of the worlds greatest free market, might just be a plus for the financial future of the country? Unlike you, you dumb yokel.

ECoC is open to: EU, EFTA and EEA members. Also countries applying for EU membership.

It became clear in the last few weeks that the UK still plans to leave the EU and not join EFTA/EEA. And anyway, if the UK did try to start joining EFTA/EEA today, it'd take over 5 years to become a member anyway.

The cities were stupid enough to spend hundreds of grand on something that they're ineligible for. If they'd already started the bidding process and not quite the moment that Art50 was enacted, then that's entirely their own stupid fault.
