Mystery song from 1984, containing a five-minute barrage of insults set to smooth jazz.

Cookd and Bombd thread that mystery seems to have come from.

The original version of the song in Italian. I just don't understand what the four guys are doing in the background and why they have moustaches and hankies for hats.

I have listened to this so many times. The full audiobook is well worth it, as well as "Blood and Muppets".

This is one of those stupidly simple ideas I've kicked around for YEARS, but it needed to feel properly interactive and have perfect=100% without fudging the maths, recently solved all that so I've built it.
I reckon anything over 97% is pretty good, my best since I finalised the gameplay is around 97.7-97.9 (keep getting tantalisingly close to much higher scores then mess up the final bit of the loop, GAH)

Presumably when they did their degrees in fine art, they imagined they'd be world renowned by the time they were 30, or making bank as the curator of some prestigious collection, rather than hanging around with kids who treat them like total losers.

Frank Poole's fate was rather extensively covered in 3001: The Final Odyssey.

Honestly, they're decreasingly good.
2001 is good, with notable departures from the film version of the story.
2010 is also pretty good. Also notably different from the film. Interestingly though it follows on from the film version of 2001 rather than the book version.
2061 is a bit crap.
3001 felt mostly like a cash-in. It had a couple of nice ideas, but they're done better elsewhere.

Regardless of whether it had already been posted...

Travel the world, see all the amazing wildlife , shoot it, stuff it and make a "museum" in your own house. What a cunt.

He would be drugged, taken from his bed in the middle of the night and left in the middle of the woods where he would be hunted to exhaustion.

but I want to add to it so that it happens at least once for each of the animals he has shot. So he wakes up every morning with the memory of what has happend to him and the knowledge that it will happen again.
Ah, sod it let's go full on Prometheus and make it for eternity.

but as a sporting challenge I don't find it very impressive, guns giving hunters this massive and unsporting advantage. I'd limit hunting technology to a knife and wooden spear. If he can take down an angry charging hippo or an elephant or even a fast moving antelope I wouldn't begrudge him his kills
( , Tue 8 Oct 2019, 2:41, Reply)

Hunting anything you don't plan to eat is just mean but there is simply no challenge. It's not a hunt, it's a slaughter. Give him a sharp stick and put him up against a hippo in a one on one fight.

We've just had parliament using the first sitting since the prorogation to whinge and whine about the rise of intemperate language in politics and now the most sanctimonious media organisation in the country is promoting this.
It's all very well for shits and giggles, and hard to deny it as a valid point of view, but it hardly elevates or furthers the debate.
A couplet from The Red Flag, the anthem reinstated at Labour conferences since Corbyn became leader:
'Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.'
The hypocrisy on all sides is now beyond bearable.
