Are we nearly there yet?
I've been hearing about this for bloody ages too. The problem appears to be that they can't really define where the edge of the solar system is.

I think any right minded individual would think that
People who have overcome enormous difficulties (losing a body part, being bullied for being different, etc etc) and still outperforming 99% of the human race is a huge lesson to us all.

Everyone should check out the documentary 'Murderball' which was on BBC4 recently.
It's about wheelchair rugby and the rivalry between USA & Canada. The players are incredibly inspiring and the games are nailbiters.

With the Olympics now generally about selling stuff like burgers, fizzy pop, petrol & stuff, the Paralympics does seem to have more meaning as an event

8-bit battles Ikari Warriors
Versions from the atari 2600,atari 7800,amstrad,c64(both versions),nes,spectrum,apple 2 and c16.
The U.S.(Data East) version on the C64 was awful but the U.K.Elite version was great.

Yeah good version though. On the Amiga version it sounded like a cat meow when you threw a grenade.

The atari had a great sound chip.
Studios were still keeping them around for Cakewalk long after the games stopped being made.

The Amazon.
I'd rather be bitten by a Piranha than attacked by a candiru:
The fish is attracted by the smell of human urine. After tasting the urine the candiru may follow the urine stream back to the human. It then swims up the urethra and uses its spines to manifest itself somewhere in the urinary tract. After having spread the spines like an umbrella the candiru finally starts to draw blood and may grow by the amount of blood that is consumed. It eats away the muscous membranes and tissues until it is stopped either by hemorrhage or the host. Every attempt to catch the fish by the tail will fail since once in the urethra, it cannot be pulled out because the spines are spread like an umbrella. Men as well as women can be attacked by the candiru.

decomposing plankton, particularily Phaeocystis/Noctiluca/Dinophysis species which forms massive algal blooms, some species toxic to fish and, as video shows well, smothers the sea floor
