I see enough corpses, what with being culturally Catholic.
How come it was ghoulish and bad to watch Saddam Hussein's hanging but Muammar's bloodied corpse is the first thing I see on BBC News website? Fuck off! There's kids trying to sleep here!

Horses are bastards, and they know that and they play on that fact too. I've never trusted them since the time I went to the circus, and the man said "who would like to ride the shire horse?"
So, 8-year-old me put my hand up, and they put me on the horse. But not before attaching a large, leather belt to my waist, attached to which was a long rope that disappeared up in to the roof of the big top. The horse, encouraged by a smack to the flanks from a wizened old carney, took off.
Around and around the big top it ran, getting faster and faster and faster and faster. "Get up on to your knees!" cried the ringmaster. "Fuck off!" I would have cried back, had I a) not been 8 and b) not been in fear for my very life.
Eventually, when the horse reached maximum velocity (approximately 1,000mph), they whipped it from under me - leaving the belt and rope to do their work. Momentum flung me forwards, the rope stretching behind me, as I soared above the crowd below.
"Aaaaaaargh!" I calmly explained, before the rope snapped me backwards, sending me reeling in the opposite direction like some kind of awful metronome of juvenile screaming, sweating and swearwords such as "Bum!" and "I'MGOINGTODIE!"
Horses: Evil. *Especially* horses that are in the circus.
What animals have you hated, and why?

That's the thing with extremism, if they comprimised a little, they could be seen as resonable, if hitler went "It's not all jews, just the hassidics", people would turn around and think "You know what? He's got a point".
On the tube home, this fucking hassidic family, no blokes, 2 grandmas, 4 daughters, 2-3 kids. They had two big huge fucking push-chairs, really expensive looking, you know, the kind you get in places like Harrods. I might be wrong, I donno, but I doubt they were second hand from the pound shop. They put the two push chairs in the middle of the asle while one of the kids was in the corner where the push chair should have been. I'm sure they're collapsable too, but I might be wrong on that.
I swear to you, I'm not shitting you here, on one side where they were blocking, there was empty seats, on the picadilly line, going from Kings Cross to fucking Bounds Green (about 2/3 of my journey), at 6 in the evening on a week day. THEN, then, on the other side, where they wern't blocking, were people crammed where they had to stand two-by-two even between the seats. 30-40 people on one side, 10-15 on the other.
I looked around and no one seemed to be getting pissed off that these ignorant pessent-minded twats. Naturally though, I didn't say anything, thought a lot, just like everyone else, but didn't say anything. Twats.

I'm baking a quadruple chocolate cake and an old favourite of mine: my grandma's almond cake. I'll bring them to the office as a farewell.
Then, I won't be working for what's probably going to be 13 months. I've never done anything like that. I'm a bit worried that I might find it frustrating not to use my brain much, but I'm hoping I'll enjoy this new phase. And in fact, I might start something of my own, if I have time, we'll see.
So, probably tomorrow is going to be busy in the office, and after that, I don't know if I'll come in here often. Therefore, and although I've never done this before, I'm going to open the Pandora box and let you ask me what you want, and I'll try to give an honest answer. It doesn't have to be about me, you just ask.
Alt. Is there something about someone in here that you really, really want to know, but don't dare asking? Or do we know each other so much that there are no secrets anymore?
EDIT (to make it more interesting) Alt. 2 If you had a year of free time from now, what would you like to do with it? Only free time, no extra money, just enough to live.

has been a bit of a surprise, full of ups and downs. The little chinesse girl; the german eaten by cannibals... I'm speechless about those two stories.
Then, it seems that Virgin is going to open the new space airport soon. That's brilliant. Not that I can afford a ticket, but I'm hoping I will before I die.
And then the fact that 67% of New Yorkers agree with the Occupacy movement, and 87% are ok with them occupying. I think that's a good new; although I know that not everybody agrees.
So; what have you seen this morning that has left you speecheless? Any good or bad news?
Alt. Have you felt bad and good about the human race at the same time? Why?
