CUNTWAT!
this lesser known citrus fruit was hunted to extinction by catholic missionaries in southeast asia. rumours of large repositories of their seeds in the vast catacombs of the vatican are unsubstantiated, yet intriguing.

Blimey!
I met a Chinese girl who has been over here for 6 years at a party a couple of months back.
Because of my job and her nationality, we started talking about the Google China situation (not immediately, you understand - I don't meet people and immediately set off on an SEO tirade) and I asked how she felt about the sensorship in her country.
She didn't understand what I meant, intimating that she didn't believe that there was any censorship at all.
I showed her the google image results for Tiananmen square in Google.co.uk and in Google.cn and asked her what she thought.
She genuinely believed that in this country we were controlled by propaganda, rather than her country controlling through censorship.
I have no absolute way of knowing who is correct, but it interested me.

i know a chap who grew up in soviet russia
he finds it difficult to read posters and signs, because he intuitively expects them to be propaganda posters and therefore ignorable. weird, eh?

a channel 5 program with Chris Barrie about 'Massive Motors', it's a coal strip-mining machine, that's a bloody great wheel of scoops rather than a buzzsaw.
It was german I believe but I don't recall it's name.

Loved it.
