# The plant in the background is soft pencil on teabagged (fnar) paper,
Then the colour is mainly from another second of teabagged paper.
The wood-grain texture to the right is from some printmaking I did, as is the overall background texture, you can see that easier to the top right of the image.
Then the little tree in the bottom left is scanned in from tracing paper.
The main picture in the middle was drawn by hand then traced over and shaded in Photoshop :]

A. make a few layers, 1, very blur, 2 mid blur, 3 real pic, 4 very sharp. 5, one jpg saved to get blocks

OR

B. Just blur out one colour channel. pick the one with the most detail and knock it down a bit.

not too sure how with the gimp.

Gaussian blur is a bit of a hammer.

I agreed with you here, and said that I wasn't interested in playing COD, is that really grumpy? Would have been a shit episode of Victor Meldrew

This is why we can't have nice things.

I saw Muse years back at the Docklands Arena.
Would probably have been the best gig I'd ever been to, had it not been at the Docklands Arena, which is just an aircraft hangar with a bar at the end.

But it was still ace!

# A friend of mine
was recently roped into being in the Pudsey suit for a Children in Need event (the guy who was supposed to do it was drunk and about 300 miles away from the event).

Before suiting up he had to read and agree to the rules, such as 'you may not speak when dressed as Pudsey' and 'you may not take the head off while in view of the public'.

The most important rule, taking precedence over everything else was, 'always wave or clap when photos are being taken, because PUDSEY BEAR CANNOT BE SEEN TO BE TOUCHING THE CHILDREN!'
