I ust Image Ready that comes with Photoshop for my anims (oh, and Flash) but there are some free ones about.
And I'm about as much use as a woollen umbrella in April.

If you get a free copy of Paint Shop Pro (often on the cover CD of PC magazines)

It comes with Animation Shop, which is fine for simple anims, as the ruminant one says you'll find flash really good for "cartooney" ones
