exported as a movie (with GIF as the format, it saves each frame as a gif) into a folder

AND THEN

Using Adobe Photoshop Image Ready I simply imported folder as frames (File - Import - Folder as Frames).

Seeing as you mentioned Forbidden Planet. If you find yourself in London anytime soon, then don't go to the store in New Oxford Street, as it's closed for good now :( However, on a brighter note, there is a new Forbidden Planet not too far away in Shaftsbury Avenue, and rather nice it is to.
