I don't know what Jack Torrance was thinking with that "All work and no play" novella. Terrible characterisation and the ending was awful. Destined for a vanity publisher, I reckon.

yeah it's the german's fault that fifa aren't allowing goal-line technology
that's football. you enter, you play by the rules, and the rules are that the ref's decision is final. to be fair to the germans, they outplayed england before that goal (two goals, i believe they scored in the first half?) and after that goal (two goals, i believe they scored in the second half) and made the english defence look like the over-rated pack of slow, ageing shite they are and the english strike-force like the over-rated pack of effete ineffective arseholes that they are.
i enjoyed that game immensely and all the fucking pointless nationalist shite from a bunch of bitter englishmen will only make me enjoy it more
edit: sorry, that all looked a bit personal :D it's not meant to be, it's a bunch of pent-up irritation at the golden generation, football reporting in england, and at sun headline writers in particular

I just watched the only DS9 episode worth seeing, Trials And Tribble-ations, where the DS9 crew go back in time and infiltrate the original series
I found these pics on Memory Alpha and made meself a GIF to do a decent comparision, thought I'd share it.
memory-alpha.org/wiki/Trials_and_Tribble-ations_%28episode%29
Interesting that the cut out around Chekov ain't that great really, and that 3 guys, not just the two added DS9 crewmates, have been removed from the original line up, I assume the last guy in the distance saved them a lot of work matching shadows.
