For a belming mong it's an interesting job
Now it's a job that just suits me, a window licker you will be.
If you could see what I can see When I'm licking windows.

You'd be surprised at things they do
When I'm licking windows.
Now Downsy Dave that is my name
And Window licking is my game,
Now no two windows taste the same
When I'm licking windows.

It seems to be how it's treated here. 'Happy ANZAC Day' is a bit of an odd phrase, much like 'Happy Remembrance Sunday'. It's right that it's observed here, but a lot of nationalistic morons treat it as an excuse to have a go at foreigners.
However, I really don't get why it's seen as the formative event in the recognition of Australia and New Zealand as countries, especially when you look at the casualty figures, as many here seem to think only Aus and NZ were involved.

All sides suffered, Turks, French, British, ANZACS, the lot. Reading about how many died in a flash flood when the soldiers on both sides were too ill, cold and exhausted to climb out of their slit trenches rather than drown makes me feel very relieved I've never had to face that sort of thing.
