it was the noise of the gunshots then the picture slowly tilting over. I thought it was a tripod falling over first time I saw it.

reminds me that documentary on Channel 4 a few months ago about the homeless hostel for drunks in Glasgow. They'd all be sitting around drinking their Special Brew quite happily, and then suddenly two of them would get up and start fighting. Gruesome but gripping, in a "car crash" kind of way.
