It's a film which rattles around my mind from time to time - you are spot on saying it's 'really disturbing but truthful.'
Kids should be shown it to discourage them from war.

I think you'll find that the article is a pisstake, and Lee's 'modesty' is, and always has been, a joke about his fame - or lack of it.
I'm not the biggest fan, but unlike Gervais (a total cunt) who is almost singularly obsessed with fame, I think most of Stewart Lee's stuff is based on a carefully staged persona.

Same applies to the film. The guy who played Sammi Curr died in real life. I wonder if playing the movie backwards will bring him back as a vengeful actor/dancer?

The USAF decided in the 1950s that they couldn't shoot down a fleet of Russian bombers armed with atomic munitions, as guided weapons were still in their infancy. So why not wipe them out in a cluster with an air to air nuclear missile? But to prove that it was safe to use, some guys stood directly under a 18,500 feet 2kton airburst test.

the article is an explanation of the video, it gives its significance, background, a historical setting and a context. If yougo straight to the video and you're not knowledgeable or interested in history then all you get is 'Oooh- what? Ahh? Eh?'- not everyone will be able to make simple common sense out of a historical video without some introduction. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be disagreeable but things that are immediately apparent to you aren't always apparent to others,

My mac boots about 3 times faster and does everything, bar games, just as well if not better than my pc. Cubase on my PC crashed numerous times (including critical times when I was making stuff for uni) because, essentially, the ASIO drivers, which are a necessary software workaround to allow advanced audio apps to directly use the processor, are relatively unstable. Macs have "core audio", a much more reliable hardware solution.
