rather than blending between the two i'd have a sharp line between scales and flesh, not neccesarily on a straight line, but the fade isn't quite right. Also the tail could be more shapely, could you mask with her original legs?
Nice tho

Is the gradient mask where you click "new layer mask" an then draw on it ith varying shades of grey to show through the layer underneath? I've not quite got the hang of layer masks just yet...
( ,
Mon 14 Jul 2008, 11:29,

just use the gradient tool (same place as the fill tool) on the layer mask
( ,
Mon 14 Jul 2008, 11:34,
archived)

and the varying shades of grey is the gradient fill tool...in fact, towards the very top of the fish bit i'd have a layer of scales bump mapped (displaced) slightly under the womans skin so it looked like fleshy scales, then fading into the fish with the layer mask.
( ,
Mon 14 Jul 2008, 11:35,

I would personally have made the tail fin a little larger/wider and perhaps not done the blend between the flesh.

I have hated those ads with a borderline illogical hatred.
They're not even decent puppets, are patronising as fuck and seem to think that the general public are way too stupid to see when they are being openly manipulated to feel they're abnormal if they don't have a set 'Dolmio day'...and what's worse- apparently they are.
All adverts are some form of manipulation but at least most have the good grace to put a bit of effort in. The Dolmio ones are just offensive and stereotypical. There's not even such a thing as a (tomato) pasta sauce jar in Italy.

I have all the necessary.
Except perhaps that I find spaghetti a tad difficult to eat...

... I suppose you have to put in some ground work first...
I bet if you put something on the internet saying 'food wine and sexy time' you'd get offers... maybe even from people who aren't homeless!
