It does look that way.
Especially as several of us were complimentary. More than some posts get.
and the bikes really suffer unless there have been some cars laying rubber down recently. Which is not the case this weekend. Turn 3 was taking many out in quallies.

It's a good challenging track though.
The surface is really bad, even with a layer of rubber down.
I sat on Stoner's new bike before it was delivered to his team.
Oulton park was good today but a bit disappointing for the factor Dukes ( one rider out yesterday and 2 3rd's today ). The team I was with failed miserably and I had to bite my tongue not to tell Rutter so ;)

I can hardly be faulted for being into bike racing when I have 2 Ducati's and my sister works for Ducati Corse.

Nice, I've never really been into Ducati's that much.
My mate shares a garage with a Duc fanatic. I'm changing my lovely bike this week, to a Daytona 600.
My sister was at a dinner with Toseland a couple of months back. I insisted that she told him I said he was nothing without a throbbing Italian between his legs. I don't think she did.

Ha! You cheeky bitch!
It's really cool that Stoner didn't pull a Coultard and blame everyone/thing but himself.
but it rankles me he left Ducati. I like Rossi too, what's not to like. I have the greatest respect for all the riders I'd just prefer to see Rossi on a 1098.
I'm from a football city where you learn about support and loyalty at an early age. You stick with your team through thick and thin. So basically I have my loyalties and team members come and go.
I'm Manchester United. I'm Ducati. I'm Maclaren and I'm Chicago White Sox. The same way that I still believe that BMW make the best road cars in the world and not much will change my mind. I may of course have to review that position when my Datsun arrives in March and if you saw Top Gear you will know why.

I actually LIKE it. I wasn't around for the 'surge' you speak of, but I still like the odd nicely shot piccy.
but the colours and such are the same as on the night i just try to post photography on here more often because it doesn't get a good representation on this site - where as vectors are two a penny which is ironic.

The pros and cons of electric whisks over hand whisks in beating egg whites for meringues is under represented on this site.
Fortunately there's other sites specifically dealing with this issue. Much like there is specific sites for unshopped photos.

Can anybody recommend a free/OSS program for generating synthetic speech? I'm not looking for realistic human voices as such; more in the line of Stephen Hawking, Daleks, Sparky the Piano etc. edit: cheers for replies, but I'm looking for something a bit more sophisticated than Sam and it needs to be stand-alone.

do you have the ability to capture your own voice?
if so i'd suggest you get a copy of Melodyne. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oQn66gvwKA OK, it's not free but it's the best thing since sliced bread. I also use Vocaloid for realistic vocal harmonies but that's not free either.
I have no idea what this is like but it came up googling free voice synthesizer

So i ran away and ended up in rusholme (real ghetto) I climbed over a back wall and broke into a house and there was two army guys in there, so i went back the way i came and climbed over the back wall and there was a baby with joker make-up on (pasa's work?). Next thing im back in town and thats when shit got SCARY....(tbc)

tetsuo out of akira started tearing up manchester, was like cloverfield (ive not seen that film, just the ads). So everyone runs away and im in ardwick looking for this big nuclear bomb shelter they built in the 50's (I was reading about this the other day) and im trying to get everyone together and find a computer with an internet connection so we can find out where the entrance is. Thats when I woke up in a cold sweat, terrified. Was awesome, I wrote it all down so I wouldnt forget. Was ace!

I had one last night where I was trapped in a zoo, and I had to escape.
Except I was trapped because I was one of the displays, with mum and two African guys. I'd found a way to escape, so I had to go back and get mum and the Africans, but there was this dog prowling around that kept chasing me, it was all scraggly and evil-looking.
I eventually fought my way past the dog, the lions and stuff, and got back to mum, at which point the dog burst in and tried to eat our faces.
I pressed mine to the ground and it went after one of the Africans, who got all mutilated.
Then I got to the escape I found but it had been locked.
i recently dreamt that i was fighting in a war and one of my friends, who was fighting with me, betrayed us by leading us into a trap. only a few of us got out, including the the guy who betrayed us. so i shot him in the face - this disturbed me a bit when i met him later that day

it's just your basic tracing.
I get a photo and usually blow it up big, losing the detail does not matter because I can pencil that in later. I start with a layer and a spattery big brush, very low opacity, relying on pressure sensitivity to vary the values. That gets quite a bit of smudging and fading to get idea of the smdged pencil as I would do it with graphite ( shading with my fingertips ). Then I just build up from there, each layer has a finer brush and a bit more opacity to create the detail. last layer id just dabbing about bits and bobs to try and make it look a bit more like natural media.
edit:/ once I have done the first layer and got the geometry right the photo layer is turned off and i stick it up on the other monitor to reference but it's mainly doing what I think looks right from that point.
