the local tory knocked on the door at the weekend.
I politely informed him that even if I hadn't lost all confidence in the British political system I was unlikely to vote tory anyway.
I also said the we should form an anarcho-syndicalist commune and was about to do the whole Holy Grail scene when he walked off.

I'm trying to remember which actor died (relatively) recently and someone immediately jumped on his wikipedia entry and changed it, the changes got picked up by lazy journalists everywhere and ran around teh world as fact.
It was NOT Maurice Jarre and he's the only damn thing that pops up in google so I'm hoping someone can remember.
I seem to recall the change was that he was at one tome the first choice to play some iconic role but turned it down.

The 192 one is your address on your local network.

if IP chicken sees your actual IP then that's what all the internet sees. And with that I have to bow out because I'm post wasting.

seriously, if you mean, you do not want to fire up a web browser and go to ipchicken.com/ , your only other option is to do a 'tracert , and your IP will be the first IANA assigned non-private IP that you see

edit:// look for your local area connection ( control panel /network ) and check out the properties - details for your current connection ( I can't show you on mine because I'm on Windows 7 and IPv6 and it's all very different.

basically (in most cases) that will be the IP address that the WAN port of your firewall/router device was given by the DSL or CableModem.
In order to check if that is secure, you can go to https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 .

In my former helpdesk slave life, my next question would be...
'what are you trying to do?'
