I did this with a recent road scroll - tried to make one with alpha'd trees srolling by but it nearly killed my processor and After Effects refused to render it as it kept running out of memory damn my 32 bit 4gb limited computers!!

Well there was also a silver version of the same C3 unit
which you see pretty much first thing on the original film, so I always assumed the gold one broke a leg at some point so they replaced it from the silver model and dint have time to re paint it.
