140kb for a static image is normally considered a bit too big for the board. Mods usually remove pics of that size.

There are lots of things you can use to animate
the most popular are: Imageready (comes with Photoshop) Animation shop (comes with paint shop por) Macromedia Fireworks Macromedia Flash All of the above cost money, but you could try The Gimp which lets you animate stuff if you install the right bits - it's all free.
