Ronseal. Had this on MP3 for quite some time, and it always makes me chuckle. And I need a chuckle this morning.
But the real reason for posting is that I know that there's a search feature for the links board now, but I can't remember how to do it...
Anyone care to enlighten me? In the meantime, enjoy the muppets.
(, Thu 9 Oct 2008, 9:41, Reply)
there is a search feature for /links? We have only just had a link on the main page for this place, whatever next, and editable subject line.
(, Thu 9 Oct 2008, 9:53, Reply)
I've got a greasemonkey script which puts the link on, but it's buggy, (cause I wrote it), and I haven't been arsed to update and check it for FF3.
The url is really easy, (just put search/ before the board name/ )
for /links ....b3ta.com/search/links
To search board ...b3ta.com/search/board
talk ...b3ta.com/search/talk

Have you ever been sleeping at night, having a wonderful dream, only to have it invaded by some sort of advertisement or obvious product placement? I mean, there’s absolutely nothing worse than a dream where you’re flying around the world as Superman, when suddenly you’re confronted by a man that’s trying to sell you cheap Viagra. If this sounds like you, then it might be time to invest in a Dream Captcha.

(, Thu 9 Oct 2008, 9:12, Reply)
Then again I am too young to remeber PIL. However, yes, the sex pistols started the whole punk revolution, blah etc...
Someone needed to, and the idea only came from Mclaren when there were plenty of garage bands, and people playing in there bedroom and such. I prefer PIL because it is pure John Lydon. I have Never Mind The Bollocks, but only like the sum of 1 song on it. I would rather get the Uk Subs on and the like for pure spit, grime and poorly tuned instruments.
So there.

Sex Pistols were over rated but generally fun as someone who missed them by about 15 years. PiL were shit apart from rise. I got their best of and was embarrased at what i was listening to. nasty.
(, Thu 9 Oct 2008, 9:26, Reply)
I rather enjoy PIL. Death Disco being another great track.
The Metal Box is great too. Has no rise, but still worth a listen. I have not got the greatest hits though, but like any greatest hits, its not always the best selection of tunes.

this is not a love song is ok though
it's got the same bassline as Relax and I can imagine Lydon writing after sitting in meetings with Virgin / Branson.

Srsly. He never does. Ever.
I failed to see the Pistols twice in '96: I was a steward at the Finsbury park gig, and at the Phoenix festival. For the fomer, I spent the gig with my back to the stage punching ageing punks as they tried to climb the delay tower. For the latter, I was sat on a fire-tower on a campsite about 167 miles away. I could see the top of the stage, but nothing else...

Ok Saudi has a fucked up system, and its a bit shit that we tend to turn a blind eye to what its up to for military purposes etc.
What the fuck has that got to do with Islam in the UK? Sharia courts in this country don't work in paralel with our system, and Rowan Williams wasn't suggesting that back when silly season was on and the Sun and the Mail wanted a whipping boy.
Think of it as a mediator or somthing similar. Orthodox Jews have theyre system recognised by law, why not Islam.
Im not having Islam shoved down my throat, Christianity maybe, but not Islam. I'm an athiest, I think i can handle some one talking about Islam or what ever without somehow going crazy and actualy converting.
Sure there a fucks that have a weird out look on Islam, but theres trhe same in all religion.
This guy is a total cunt. saying "don't call me racist, im just saying it how it is" doesn't put the onus on me, if i think hes a bigoted angry little cunt with nothing better to do than stir things up, im entitled to that opinion, I won't how ever make a youtube video about it, or start a petition about it.
Why doesn't he make a petition asking to get rid of the Bishops in the house of lords. Or how about total reform of our legal system, because Zimbabwe's system is based on our, thats not particularly nice, so the problem must be in ours aswell.
This cunt has really pissed me off
(, Thu 9 Oct 2008, 14:03, Reply)
First, go and have a listen to his other videos; he is anti-religion, not anti-Islam. This happens to be the latest of his videos, that's all.
Second, the Sharia court issue is not like mediation. If the parties involved agree to it (and they may have little choice if they are female) then the decisions are binding. A recent case involved two women being gypped out of a good part of their inheritance (which the Sharia court awarded to male members of the family). They had little choice in the matter and now have no legal redress.
