I like Julian Barratt too.
The main thing that puts me off Nathan Barley is that it's shot and edited in exactly the style that the people it's satirizing would shoot and edit it. That's clever, but it ultimately means it's very annoying and hard to watch, for me at least. He did exactly the same thing with Brass Eye and The Day Today, but they dealt with news and current affairs formats, and I found them much more watchable.

The artwork is from various sources
all from the Homeworld games. I'm working in Lightwave to create hi-res models of the ships, to make a fancy short film. Plus, I have a whole bunch of sketches and ideas that I have to get down somewhere. I'm working on getting my artwork this good. :D

nah - most of it artwork by Relic software's chief art person (Rob Cunningham)
it's great stuff though - I was totally hooked on Homeworld etc.
and remember buying it on release only to have a house full of mates for weeks as I was the only one with a PC good enough to run it full tilt. I still pull out H2 now and again for fun.

Basically, convert pic to b/w with channel mixer
select flesh areas on one guy add curves adjustment layer alter curves to get good flesh tone do same for other guys then do same for hair,clothing, background etc.
Probably easier ways, but this seems to work for me.

I can
do it in about 20 minutes, but I have dedicated software for it. I know how much pain it is to do it by hand although I have a different technique to you ( but I still do make selection layers before adding adjustments )
