poor old syd. nice job.
so, i took my garbage out and had a look at the neighbour's bin - they threw out some slimline dvd cases and i carried them back in my place as i've got some homeless cds and dvds to settle. apparently they forgot to remove some of the dvds because i now own the box set of season one of 'arrested development' and a dvd (heh!) on the literacy crisis.
is this arrested development thing any good?

recipe tiem
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups heavy cream 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup chopped white chocolate 1 teaspoon almond extract 1/4 cup powdered sugar 2/3 cup macadamia nuts, lightly toasted and roughly chopped Mint sprigs Raspberries Chocolate shavings
Method
In a double boiler, heat 1/4 cup of the cream, butter and white chocolate over gently simmering water, stirring gently until butter melts and chocolate is smooth and creamy. Set aside to cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, whip remaining 1 cup cream with almond extract and sugar until soft peaks form. Gently fold in cooled white chocolate until blended. Place some of the chopped nuts in the bottom of each of four glasses and gently stir the remaining nuts into the mousse. Spoon or pour the mousse into the glasses, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours until mousse is set. Garnish with mint, raspberries or chocolate, if you like, then serve.

It's a fantastic game.
There are a couple of flaws with it, like for instance some of the character movement isn't the best animation you'll ever see, but that just melts away when you start to play. It's ridiculously immersive, and the world itself it pretty much perfect.
(mofaha┐( ˘_˘)┌ ʅ(́◡◝)ʃ,

my main complaint is character movement based
the actors really don't look like they interact with the world at all sometimes.
that and where do some of the survivors get their russian and irish accents from? there haven't been any immigrants for 200 years!
also, there are a few bugs that i'll never be able to get fixed because its on xbox. like in big town where i can't repair the non-existant robots so the townsfolk are stuck staring at a scrap heap for all time. that broke the immersion a lil bit
(Tom OBedlamI have control of a tank,

Yeah I've heard about that.
There are a few bugs on the PC too; I'm still waiting for the slaves to turn up at the Lincoln Memorial, I think they may have been killed or gotten lost on the way. Apparently that's happened to other people too. But really, there's enough else to do that it doesn't matter. I'm still finding locations all the time...
