is that the bloke from Gand Designs...?
at first he had doubts about the way the build was going, but the enthusiasm for the couple showed in their love for the build and, ultimately, it was that love which allowed them to see the project through and the result is something... well, it's far better than he ever could have imagined *walk off camera to the left of the screen while it pans up and to the right to show the house*

no i think its the one from sixty minute makeover
who first had doubts that they would finish the disabled child's space themed bedroom in time before his battered mother returned from a surprise bingo trip with her sobbing sister, but a nice cup of tea speeded the workers up and everything was fine in the end

Interesting read. I agree with you, however I have one major qualm:
How can you police the veracity of political advertising? All parties make claims about what they'll do once in power, so the adverts can only be shown to be false at a much later date.

That's basically their argument for the waiver
and while to a large extent it holds true I think there are other ways of dealing with it than just ignoring the issue. I'd like to see it retained, but with a rather more detailed consideration of how it is handled. It's the principle of the thing goddammit! ;)
