He was suffering with pacreatitis which in of itself isn't terminal unless it get really bad
but the medicine they gave him to relive the pain was the kind cancer patiences are normally given and he was breathing really badly during the night had I had trouble trying to rouse him, walked him around the room a little at about 2.30am and he seemed a bit responsive so I let him go back to sleep in the hope the drugs would wear off but he seems to have choked on his own vomit in the night.

Feeling for you
Lost my Dad back in 2000 under similar circumstances and no-one who has'nt gone through the loss of someone so close can feel how your feeling right now.
It sounds corny as fuck but I found the best way to deal with it was to imagine them still there with you, just in your head rather than walking and talking. Although I'd imagine you don't feel anything but the emptiness that losing them has created.

Unfortunately not
there are some friends who have said I can come around to their place but as for my family I phoned my Dad (lives in Horncastle) early this morning and he said he would contact my Brother to pop around but o sign of him nor any phone call from him. We are not a close family although there is no animosity between us we just live our seperate lives with as little contact between us as possible if that make sense.
