Gaz = internal b3ta message
see top of board - you have 'x' unread messages I believe the term 'gaz' derives from a saying on here (before my time) which said 'Gaz, IM me'

TJ: Quark Skillzors Needed
First of all, sorry for the threadjack, (gotta love Ivor), second I need a bit of help on Quark. I wanted to put a kind of shadow on some text, so I duped the copy, offset it, and made it black underneath so just a little bit was showing around the right hand side and bottom. Voila a basic shadow. However, when it printed, the black came through the red of the top copy, so it looked like a red shadow was top and left. Any ideas how I can combat this?

Good point
Unfortunately, the mags are all set in Quark. Switching to Indesign would involve resetting 64 pages before going to the printers at close. :( Fuck it, I'll just do it in potato shop and tiff it.

I think it's either your trapping settings or you might have the black in registration instead of 100% black, you'd have to play around with the trapping in preferences. Hope that helps
