a)
what kind of car tickles your fancy
b) watcha gonna use it for, ie. pulling cash machines out of walls really needs a landcruiser
c) idea of budget / how much of your life you want to dedicate to debt?

I have a car allowance
which is about 350 quid/month. Bearing in mind I have to tax & insure and pay for parking, I'd like to use under this.

thats plenty plenty (unless it includes petrol)
you could get a 5-7k loan, its about 100-150 a month over 5 years or so
you're a girl which means cheaper insurance, you live longer, and bleed a quarter of your life
and good call on the 206 (below), mines behaved quite well over 2 years despite a crash and having its locks drilled and being radio raped in oxford..
bastards

get a Peugot 206
second hand. it'll only cost about 4 grand and will keep its price better than any other car. I heard it on Top Gear, so it must be true. Unless you can afford a new mini, which might actually get more than you paid for it if you sell it on.

The difference between funk and of what you speak can quite clearly be defined
by listening to The Meters 'Africa' and Red Hot Chilli Peppers 'Hollywood (Africa').
One has funk, has groove and has soul, the other is totally lacking - yet it's the same song.
The diference can also be summed up by looking at someone like Chad Smith and comparing his lifeless, hard hitting drumming with that of someone with geniune funk such as Jabo Sparks or Zigaboo Modeliste.
edit: not that I'm being arsey mind Monsieur Stouff...
