It is getting a US theatrical release later this year as Toys In The Attic (dubbed in English...). Hopefully, a limited UK theatrical release and (subtitled!) DVD release won't be far behind.

Worst case I can see is Turkey invading north Syria under the guise of humanitarian reasons but more to stop the local Kurds getting uppity.
Iran then getting involved attacking Turkey.
Turkey invokes article 5(I think that's the one) Bringing NATO into a conflict with Iran.
Spice that up with a little VX and some pissed off Ruskies and you've got interesting times.

One of them is the flag of the old Syrian Republic, as adopted by the rebels at the moment; the other is a black flag with writing on it - and that could mean one of any number of thigs. I don't see how you can impute any kind of Al Qaeda link with either of them.

There is no such thing as the AQ flag.
The inscription is the shahada - the same as on the Saudi flag. It might be the case that some AQ affiliates use a black flag with white shahada - but that has been used by various Islamist groups since the 1990s; not everyone who uses the flag is AQ. Since the rebellion in Syria is largely sectarian, it isn't surprising that there'd be some tendency to Islamism in some sectors.
You shouldn't take your politics lessons from Telegraph photo editors.
